I've died in moments due to unfortunate overlapping magic attacks, been consistently grabbed from off screen for HP halving fun, hit by off screen magic projectiles, had moments where I can see nothing but a single kings tush blocking my view, and to top it off, my attacks don't register unless my characters face is close enough to brush their nightmarish thighs.

The journey down there is getting pretty monotonous, and the fight itself seems madly unfair at the moment. It's got me right frazzled!
Yeah Im stuck on them now too, I think they are more unfair than anything else in the game, I mean theres four of them and they surround you from all angles and fire what seems to be an undodgeable magic attack that usualy comes at you from somewhere the camera isnt pointing.

    Its a bit ridculous.

So Ive gone to the Demon Ruins instead for now.

Heavy armor with high poise, hard-hitting two-handed weapon and close combat. Their attacks are more powerful when far away, up close they only do a tenth of their max damage. In both my playthroughs I was able to defeat

      each one of them

      before the next showed up.

Yeah but you completed the game in about half the time that most other people have so you clearly have ninja skills. Sometimes when I am fighting them I can't even get near the first one before its knocked off half my life with its ridiculous purple magic attack thing and by the time I have got back to my feet a second and third one has appeared so killing them quick before another appears is not really possible.

It worked for me as well. I put on the best armor I had (Havel's I think) and the wolf ring and just ran up to them and hit them as hard as I could while soaking up the damage and healing when needed. I was soul level 70 though, this fight will probably be a lot harder at lower levels.

I played for about two hours last night, it all came flooding back. I beat the

            Asylum Demon

on my first attempt. I'm at the Undead Burg now, farming some souls for a Heater Shield and a Short Bow.
            Kept you waiting, huh?

I'm sure this will make people laugh but I just beat the Taurus Demon - after about 12 hours play time. Think I'm playing it wrong....

No, I don't think so. I focused from the start on heavy armor and weapons and this paid off in the last fights but made other harder. The

                Four Kings

                and
are easy bosses for melee builds.

A message to the Crystal Ring Shield... "R.I.P. I loved you"
You're not the same friend I used to love...

If you've completed Demon's Souls then yes, this seems weird. But, if you never played Demon's Souls and didn't go looking stuff up on the internet then this doesn't surprise me at all!

I have heavy armor and good melee from a 4+ demons spear, I'm level 69 and I don't take anywhere near enough life off the four kings with each hit in order to be able to tank them

                        Use a different weapon then.
You have a good 5 seconds after you drop to sprint to where the first one spawns. If needed use your bloodstain as a guide.

Chocky, if you weren't sprinting there.

After the wood bridge, instead of going up the stairs go to the right of the two ghosts. Drop down and head to the pillar. There is a knight just behind so bait it around the pillar and sprint the other way around it. Head up the stairs and into the doorway, sprint past the giant ooze and the knights to the passage on the left. The mist is right in front of you.

I went all out with pyromancy - ran straight to the first one, going in with the heavy ranged spells. Managed to kill the first two without the next appearing, even giving time for a quick Estus swig, but I thought as I had a bit more time I was slightly less aggressive with the third. I found out very quickly that just because you've killed three kings, this does not mean the others will not come back. Great Combustion - as ever - is a fantastic spell for big enemies. With a fully upgraded pyromancy glove it does a boatload of damage, you can often get in two shots where a weapon would only get one, and it uses very little stamina, so you're usually safe to block even a powerful hit straight after. This being said, I am still very scared about doing this fight on NG+...

I want the 1.04 patch baaaad man. Anyone heard anything about when it'll be hitting 360s?

It's both the strongest and fastest weapon I have, why would I use a different one?

But it's the best weapon I have and it deals the most damage and does it fast. There is no point in me using a different weapon if they are telling me to tank the boss as this is the best for the job that I have.
