Battlefield 3 (360/PS3/PC)

Has anyone had issues with the Multiplayer maps not loading? Often I try and enter a server and instead of getting kicked, I just get a black screen with the background music. Does this just mean the servers are offline for a bit?

Not seen that. I've played every day this year so far and it's been working perfectly. On 360 I might add.

Yeah we've had loads of that with our xbox party. It says its going to load Gulf of Oman which isn't the map on the server and then it black screens. Always Gulf of Oman.

We've worked around it by making sure the quickmatch settings are set to Any / Any and joining games in progress rather than trying to party up and enter together (entering together has never put on on the same team anyway - the matchmaking process is terrible)

Unlike CODMW3 TDM where I couldn't get my KD anywhere above around 2:3, in BF3 TDM I'm getting 3:1 regularly, I'm guessing because my low ping actually helps me on the BF3 servers, whereas MW3's stupid lag adder is crucifying me.

I've downloaded the latest 360 title update (says it's an MP and SP update) and now the f***ing game wont resume my campaign. it loads and screen just stays dark. anyone else had problems or knows how to solve this?

Is it possible to delete the update and see if it works again?

yep, i did delete the update and now it works. what does the update do for the single player anyway?

will try this maybe after figuring what the update is supposed to do. so far it's not needed to play even online.

If it's the massive update, I think it's the new maps and vehicles for the Karkand pack, which will get unlocked when you pay for it (worth a punt).

Does this run in 1080p on the PS3? I may have to get it if there are people playing it.

Nope Kryss, on console its on 720, and i believe 1280 X 704 on PS3 to be correct. Still looks and plays amazing.
