I haven't thought quantity was the problem for the last few SC games. Well, aside from the PSP one.

Which wasn't enough. But SFIV had some **** like survival etc added. The likes of KOF XIII and BB are offering good stuff. Ofcourse fighters are bought for MP, but how many people still play offline against eachother? Most guys I know stopped playing fighters. Online hardly ever works well, its either laggy or full of scrubby counterpicking ****. Or both.Having said that, SCV's (online) MP is the most fun I had with SC yet. I feel that damage has been toned down in a good way, and blocking gives you proper advantages. Online isn't perfect, its a tad slower, but it seems to be more consistent than SCIV.Plus you can upload replays directly to Youtube with a Ps3. Run the replay via Output, then transfer from XMB video manager. Also custom soundtrack works.

So I've properly gone from believing this to be the most frustrating online experience possible, to really really enjoying it.

I started off playing Viola however... That probably wasn't the best of ideas. She doesn't seem very ranked-capable, amidst the waves of Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Xiba and Siegfried.

I'm maining Pyrrha now, with a CaS character built for maximum reach. She's a complete punishing machine... ANY whiffed or blocked attack, she can pretty much effectively punish then rushdown. It seems almost unfair at times.

And by going with a CaS version, you avoid her hideous voice actress! It's a win win!

Pyrrha is the only character where I'm getting the hang of the 'ex' moves so far, but I think I might shift to Leixia for the greater mobility.

Her 66B EX move is absolutely incredible. I'm not using her Critical Edge at all - All her gauge goes into this one move alone. It's excellent.

I tell you what is getting exceedingly frustrating - The fact that from C5 rank onwards, you will only face one of three people. It will either be Mitsurugi, Nightmare, or Siegfried.

Once you've reached C5, in order to rank up you need to beat a C rank or higher player.

I've gotten to 5 rank up matches now, and each time I've faced off against Nightmare, who's promptly kicked my ass.

Her critical edge comes out so fast you can punish an opponents critical just by blocking their first hit then throwing it out... I've had some choice insults thrown at me already for doing that.

I still whiff a lot of the EX moves and end up with a guard impact I didn't want. I'll get it eventually...

See, I can't seem to do that. More often than not I end up messing it up, getting hit and wasting a full gauge.

I've found I get similar, if not more damage out of doing a 66B(A+B+K), 22/88+B,A,K. I've found this something incredibly handy to use when the opponent's waking up.

236B,4 (just) is just ridiculous for punishing. The damage it deals at the speed it comes out is just plain stupid.

Her standard AA and BB are god tier - Against slow or medium speed characters, you can get away with landing a 236B even after the BB or AA has been blocked. Godlike speed.

She has a lot of safe ways to initiate:

4B,2B,B is great from distance especially against a blocking opponent as they usually don't block low afterwards.

6B,K is nice for a low poke at close range.

While it's slightly slow coming out, 4AAA is also nice due to the mix-up of high and low, so even if they block the first hit, more often than not the low will get them.

The 'create a character' in this is far beyond what they've had before...

That's cool, most of the faces seem pretty similar though. I really want to play this.

I only ever want to play as Maxi because of his nunchaku skills!

I usually lost to Mitsurugi and Cervantes players because I only chose Maxi! Actually, Xianghua, Hwang and Kilik had some Shaolin looking techniques, too. I wonder if Li Long is in this one? Maxi's best look was in the first SC. You've got this QC? Damn, I feel jealous.

Yeah, there really aren't many faces in there, which is a shame.
