Oops, sorry I should pay more attention when trying to spoiler tag things.

If it helps, it isn't as much of a spoiler as it sounds like.

Yeah my mistake, it was her. I did end up in a relationship with her, but when she walks out she looks really similar to my Shepard

I have read that myself (claims on Bioware's forums too) but so far I've not found any evidence of anyone achieving it to back it up.

I am by no means saying that my playthrough was perfect (I did miss a couple of the early fetch quests due to some become locked out after the

        Cerberus attack on the Citadel

but it wasn't a massive amount) but I did complete a lot of scanning (100% on all the galaxies I could), did all the N7 missions and I'm pretty sure most of the decisions I made created optimum scenarios for a lot of the situations that were present and it still wasn't enough.

It is possible, as Riskbreaker says, that it could just have to have an optimum run through all 3 games to get it without using the Galactic Readiness multiplier but but that doesn't really make me feel any better about things really, as I really feel there was very little else I could do better in the game I played.

Chin up! They probably meant you can do it once the War Asset DLC gets released!

I will probably tackle Insanity at some point and see if there is anything I missed

apparently Jack's students give more points on the front lines than support for instance. Not sure how many but I guess it all counts. Though I think they should patch the figures to make them lower, as it seems a bit too stringent on the requirements for a good run.

You sure it wasn't Traynor running down the hill towards Harbinger?

The % that multiplayer gives you is just a multiplier for what you are doing in singleplayer.

You can also increase your galactic readiness via the IOS app.

It would be nice to get some clarification about the need to play multiplayer. I have absolutely zero interest in playing the game in multiplayer, but I am keep to get my readiness rating up for the first batch of DLC.

I was also unaware of the iOS app, downloading now.

Yeah, They forgot to mention that anywhere, easy way to boost that score over a couple of days.
I read you need a total Score of between 4000-5000 to get the best ending.

I was playing the co-op silenty with some other silent randoms, it's actually not bad. Leveling up your character is reasonably satisfying.

the co-op in this is surprisingly alright, i'm finding it quite adictive leveling up and unlocking powers etc and i quite like the way you purchase items from the store with a chance at random rare loot.

I know what the multiplier does. It's just that from what a lot of people have calculated, there aren't currently enough enough war assets in the single player game to get a high enough Total Military Strength score that can then be halved due to the 50% Galactic Readiness for your Effective Military Strength.

It's not even about not liking the multiplayer (having never played it I don't know if I'd enjoy it or not). I am simply unable to play it as I don't subscribe to Gold. The iOS app is no use to me either as I don't own an iOS device.

It's just unfortunate as this combined with the general unsatisfactory nature of the ending itself has just soured my overall impressions of the game a little. It's overall a brilliant game.

There is a 2 day live pass in the box

                      Anyway. Just finished it.

                      Hmmmm.
                      It's like the writers thought,

'you know what, everybody loved the ending of

                      The matrix 3

                      and
let's create an ending as equally as satisfying as those!'

                      Very odd indeed.

Was I meant to have some kind of choice to determine the ending, I wasn't aware I'd made one.

The very sad thing is i can actually hear the production team / the men in suits laying down the law with this - with the writers in tears.... It is clear from the series that this is not how the tri was meant to conclude. Simple as - whether that's good or bad, satisfactory or not is each to his or her own - but yes, the suits won here and will win again, as they planned, when an alertantive ending is for sale.

On a personal note, managed to get through this quite quickly when time allowed - amazing game, fantastic series. Do not feel any anger /or frustrations or whatecer towards 'the end' - or endings.... the entire experience is worth so much more. Am looking forward to the DLC :-)

Agreed. I can't imagine for a minute that was how the team wanted it to go out. It feels like a rush job.

This guy nails pretty much everything that's wrong with the way it gets wrapped up.

Despite all that though, I popped the original Mass Effect in the other day and I will be playing back through all three back-to-back, probably sooner rather than later.

Anyway things ME3 definitely does right no.1

That Reaper noise gives me chills every time.

the music in this game really is of a supremely high standard, loads of tracks on it i really like.

I HAVE JUST HAD THE GREATEST THEORY OF MY LIFE TODAY

What if the true ending for ME3 is already on the disc, but locked in via timer? Imagine if Bioware made a fake ending just to mess with people's minds, but once 6 or 12 months pass from the date the game shipped, on your PS3/360, the REAL ending is suddenly attainable?!

What if the indoctrination theory is true? What if there is no DLC? What if Bioware is just creating a ruse?

This could bump sales up. In 12 months time, it would create fresh interesting in the game.

Quick! Someone boot their system and change the date to 12 months on from today, and see if anything is different in the game. Load it up, play about, see if my theory is true.

(I take no responsibility for buggering up your system by fudging with the time)

I put the figure for my completion at 35hrs, can't see anyway of how the War Assets would go much higher offline or reach maximum rank (though got close). I had the

                                synthesis

ending which was cheesy but fine enough. Most importantly the end was epic enough and I had conclusions enough for every character. I don't need a 30 minute epilogue or 'what happened' sequences for every companion. I either saw what happened to the characters or

                                said my goodbyes

. It's Shepherds story and the whole trilogy notion went out the window as soon as this series sold well. There's some amatuer errors but for the most part you're playing the ending. It's not as good as ME2 but it was a touching adventure for my Shepherd.
