Can only speak for the 360 version as thats the only console one i own, you can visit other peoples worlds or have them visit you. Only the pc version can you download other peoples creations then play them i don't think the console versions have that ability yet if it ever gets implemented at all.

That's a shame. There seem to be some great worlds and it would be really good to be able to access them. Weird they haven't got some sort of console curation system where they can offer a selection of cool user-made worlds to go to.

I've been playing this some more over the weekend and it's great!
There are so many updates, it's crazy. There's all sorts of enchantments and whatnot to get your head around, but the thing I like the most is that on this update it generates more "man-made" structures.

There's a small village near my house that has people in it who want to trade stuff (and go "Hmmmmnnnn" a lot), but the things that genuinely had me excited was, whilst underground, I saw a door and some stone walls. "What the...?"
There was a whole prison and dungeon area in the caverns which had several treasure chests with things like diamond horse armour and golden apples and a cobweb-filled library with an enchanted book in it.

It was really tense playing with headphones, listen to the groans and hisses of various enemies in the dark. I jumped out of my skin several times and was worried my shocked expletives would wake the rest of the house up!

I've done more tomb raiding in this than the Tomb Raider remake!

The only way you can visit another players world (albeit with no buildings there) is to use the same seed.

My son has something on the PE version on the iPad called "plug for Minecraft" and "lifeboat". It lets you play online and stuff (there's a "turn off chat" option which he is well versed in selecting otherwise he knows I'll delete the whole lot). It also lets you do local MP with bluetooth which is cool in a restaurant if no one is sharing a phone server. It also does a whole bunch of extra stuff that looks worth paying for.

I've just started playing the PS4 version, bad mistake, it's like crack. I raged when mining obsidian with my brand new diamond pickaxe and fell into the lava

I've built a couple (so far) of mob spawners at the top of the map (accessed by a tower containing a long spiral staircase). Not an unqualified success on spawns (even on hard). I did hit Lvl 91 the other day and enchanted a replacement sword (didn't take too many reloads without saving to get the preferred specification).

One spawner was based on a YouTube video. The second was my design and have to go in occasionally to clear out spiders. Have ideas for a Spider-proof one, so may try that as a break from The Witcher 3.

Need to get some more Obsidian (used a stack and a bit on the first two spawners).

When I first played Minecraft 360, it was great, but a lot of the advanced features were missing.
Since going back and they added the extra achievements and features, I'm a bit overwhelmed at what you can do.

So far, I've been quite happy just exploring the natural cave system that's underground, putting up torches to stop monster spawns, but I've started dabbling with enchantment and whatnot, but I imagine it's incredibly complex. I've built an enchantment table and started placing bookshelfs around it to boost it, but I'm not sure what to enchant!

For the first time, I thought I'd have a mooch around the map and found a pyramid! Went inside but there was nothing there, except an unusual blue stone in the middle. When I mined it, it revealed a massive drop into an underground tomb that I'm itching to explore!

Such a great game, with so many ways to play it.

You need 15 bookcases to get the maximum enchanting, which is 30. When enchanting, I disable Autosave as the enchantment is random. That way I can quit and reload if it is not what I want. For a pickaxe you need Fortune, Unbreaking and Efficiency with the highest numbers (varies between console and PC). For a sword I normally go for Looting and Sharpness (Fire Aspect as an extra is acceptable). I find Knockback annoying as it sends the enemy backwards. Check online for the highest number for each enchantment.

I just seem to play on PS4 at the moment.

After the enchanting, I am up to Lv 65. Mostly the spawners, but there were some Slimes while I was mining Obsidian. Now have a stack and a half which is enough for two more spawners if need be.

The seed I am currently on (Mass) has given me a ridiculous nember of Slimes on the surface and underground. Endermen seem to appear regularly. Using the enhanted sword (more recently), I now have 29 Ender Pearls.

I'm not sure how big the worlds are but I've yet to come across any villages and/or villagers. Have managed some low level diamond equipment enchantments but too scared to carry them around I regularly come across some skeletons with autofire bows that smash me to bits in seconds Finding it very tough to find enough diamonds to make some decent armour. But I shall persevere!

I now have three spawners at the top of my tower. I tried a third design which wasn't particularly successful so reverted it to the second design. Now beyond Level 90 again and nothing I desperately need to enchant!

The first (so far the only one I've found) village can be seen from the 10th floor of the base which has the spawners tower on top.

My usual way to find villages is to make a creative world to explore, using the seed from my survival world. Then I make a tunnel to the village in my survival world!

very interesting - might try that and note down the coordinates.

Tried it out yesterday. It's fun. The flowers are creepy though. Met the Wizard Keen last week.

Downloaded the Halloween Mash-up as well (PS4). I do like the Mash-up packs.
