Just to give you an idea of the build I'm using for my Monk at the moment - http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...Ygj!abd!aa.baa
I've switched things around a little. Water Ally is turning out to be very helpful and is doing a lot more damage than I thought it would, so I'm keeping this active at all times. I am however, still considering swapping it out for Seven Sided Strike.
Teleporting in with LMB, I can use Exploding Palm then immediately activate Mantra of Conviction for a 36% damage boost on that target for 3 seconds. Killing them during these 3 seconds causes the AOE burst that takes everyone else out around them.
This is why I'm considering changing Water Ally out for Seven Sided Strike. Boss fights.
Getting that 36% boost then using that strike on a single target would completely annihilate it.
The blinding skill is forever useful, and Serenity acting as a self heal + 3 second invincibility with relatively low cooldown is absolutely sublime.
Aiming for the Mantra boosting rune quickly, then **** gets real.

I'm looking forward to this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...dTQ!Vfh!aZcbZb

See the build I just posted up that I'm currently using, making active use of 2x Defensive.
Previous build was 3x Defensive.

Yeah, it's a little bit weird how they've handled Elective Mode! I guess it's to help people new to the series make varied and useful builds, even if they're not making the most out of it.
Once you've got Elective Mode on, you'll see when you're assigning a skill to a button, that you can use the big Left/Right arrows next to the skills to change category. I'll screenshot it when I'm home tonight.

I can now use leap to jump into the middle of a group of enemies and then stomp to stun them and then slice them all to bits. Brilliant!
Being able to make bosses bleed as well as being able to use my big powerful hammer attack move on them should be great too.Last edited by rmoxon; 18-05-2012, 12:13.

I picked up some mad gear from the auction house last night for like 200 gold. If you pick your primary attribute as a requirement and search for yellows then you can add a ton of dps onto whatever the weapon normally gives.
eg. new crossbow gives 22.8 dps but because it has +15 dexterity, that goes up to like 27.8 dps
