Bump incoming...Anyone planning to get this for console release on Sept 3rd? I'm pretty stoked for it on basis of previews and was wondering if there's any enthusiasm for PS3 coop and that...?

This is a great laugh on consoles. Feels quite complex and utterly brainless at the same time, although I suspect it's more about the latter. Multiplayer works perfectly and is very simple: had a riot with Doodledude last night, both of us experimenting with low-level Witchdoctor loadouts, which was total mayhem. Some really imaginative powers and stuff: my fave was calling up hands of the dead to bind enemies to the floor, then pelting them with jars full of killer spiders. Even though we were using the same class with only a few options unlocked - and no comms - it was really easy just to respond on the fly and find the best balance of skills/powers to work together. The insta-junk option is great, and the radial menu-management is a breeze, even when out 'in the field'. Really enjoying it, and hope to see more folk online. Basically it plays on consoles like Gauntlet for 'grown-ups'.

Finding this sooooooo much better than the PC version - it's actually fun!

Started with a Monk now level 14, got 2 legendaries (both boots so 1 up for trade/gifting) so far, looking forward to a session tonight

Anyone who's playing, feel free to add me on PSN - krelmco

Why aren't you back with the online yet, Bubbles, fighting the fight? I thought Germans were meant to be efficient...

Would it be worth making a separate thread for the console version?

How are the graphics and frame rate compared to the PC version? Does the frame rate hold up as well in offline co-op with 2 players?

Frame rate seems really solid in PS3 version although graphics are lower res than PC models. Quite a lot of minor tearing throughout, though, even in less busy areas. Haven't noticed any performance dip from SP when playing with up to 3 others online, even when it's all kicking off and there are beasties and spells going everywhere. Haven't had chance to try offline coop.

Been playing on 360 myself with a few mates. Its a really solid port all round and the evade controls on the right stick really suit the game.

A bit of screen tearing at times on 360 as well. Nothing particularly nasty but its there. Can't really complain a out anything else, its Diablo on your console with full 4P support.

This game is utterly brainless crowd-control fodder and should not be anywhere near as much fun as it is, but I cannot stop playing. Still leveling up my Witchdoctor with loadout consisting of poisonous dogs, exploding frogs, homing incendiary-bats, and my new pet - a giant zombie - whom I call Zombo the Magnificent. Are the other character classes as barmy and ingenious as this?!

Edit: actually there is some strategy here as well. I switched on my grabbing-hands-from-the-grave attack yesterday to slow baddies from swarming a slightly underpowered Doodledule.

What format are you playing 360 or ps3?
