Played the demo yesterday on the 360 and really enjoyed it. Managed to purchase a copy off ebay for ?28 which included delivery, and the pre-order bonus bollocks. Will be happy if it shows up tomorrow!

On PS3, Edd. I should say you can also dye your clothes to look chic in battle so you could conceivably bring some of your Animal Cross(-dress)ing fashion sense into it.

Its always was a great game Dog, and now they have taken the worse bit out, the auction houses, its how it should be played and not as those greed b******s intended it.

Is the pc version improved in the same way?

No FSW, auction house remains in PC version.

Soul harvest > firebats (don't use the first rune if you're low levelled)= watch everything melt in front of you. Have soul walk if you get crowded. You can thank me later.

Depending on what your lvl is and your passives are, this is ridiculously fun build.
You become a whirlwind of death along with throwing acid clouds, zombie bears.

Cheers jimtendo, I'll be sure to give those a try. I'm all for zombie bears. Had to switch out Zombo the Magnificent last night as he was going mental squashing everything and having all the fun for himself. Was leaving nothing for me and doodledude to kill.

Demo is now live on PSN/Xbox live. Have to say I think I was spoiled with the PC version last year, the PS3 demo just seems to run just ever so slightly jerky and I find the controls to not be as precise as keyboard and mouse but where the controls are good is the ability to doge using the stick. Think I will give this a miss.

I think I've made a bad decision buying this game, in the same way I did about the original Borderlands In that I expected to play this as a single player experience, yet its looking like (if Act 1 is anything to go by) thats its geared towards MP as it ramps up things to Gauntlet-like levels of foes.

I reached the boss at the end of act 1 and its pretty impossible for me to complete on my own without a massive grind of fight, get hit, repair using bottles of health, repeat and then run out and die and start again. There is a CPU controlled character with me but he is ****ing useless.

Bah! Playing as a wizard btw.

As they say, the first time is the hardest, because you won't find too many goodies/ cash/ potions.
Currently on my 3rd play through with my Barbarian (lvl. 60, up to Act II Inferno) and just started my 2nd play through with my Witch Doctor (lvl 35) on Nightmare difficulty.

The best thing is that gear/ money/ blacksmith jeweller carries over, making subsequent plays quicker. Providing you manage to keep a few mod tier weapons/ rings/ amulets for your other characters.

If you need help, send me a PSN friend request.

                        RE: golgo
Ill have to double check what skill tree and passives I've got on my Witch Doctor so you can see the firebats build.

Still loving this - got 2 characters up to 60 so far - monk and demon hunter. It's amazing that a relatively small change (No AH, better drops) has turned this into a brilliant game.

Monk is hard on Master 1 (my resists are rubbish even with OWA), but the DH plows through mobs like nothing

I found a nice DH weapon last night that took my DPS from 100k to 160k :O

I have a Witch Doctor set piece weapon if anyone wants it? I'll post the name and stats when I get home.

Also, does anyone have any Emeralds they would trade? Both my characters use Dex, so I am running out of Emeralds. I have a lot of the other 3 types to trade.

                          Edit:

Here's the details of the WD set piece:

                          Manajuma's Carving Knife
                          1307 DPS
                          +652-832 Poison damage
                          +7% damage
                          +275 Intelligence
                          +98% Crit Damage
                          +118 Max Mana (WD only)
                          2.8% life steal
                          1.4 attacks per second

Stats seem goooood, but as I'm not going to run a WD in the near future, if anyone here would like it, let me know

As always, feel free to add me on PSN - krelmco

Finding the run-through on normal quite a breeze so far, so I've knocked it up to the bizarre 'normal (hard)' setting. I put this down to my impeccable item management: my witchdoctor has INTelligence coming out of his earholes. Unlocked a skill booster with the best name/concept and most useless application in the history of games ever yesterday:

'Hugeness of Frog'. Conjures a mahoosive frog that swallows one enemy, holds him in his mouth for 5 seconds, then spits him out confused but completely unharmed.

Great fun to use. The plot, meanwhile, is no longer on the borderline of enjoyable fantasy camp but has slipped into consummate generic fantasy gash. Never mind about that, though.

This is my first Blizzard game and I have to say it does disappoint me in some respects. Like just about every other game there is, when you are playing single player in something like this, and you have another 2 CPU controlled characters apparently "battling" alongside you, they are completely transparent to the enemy A.I. - This means that every projectile, be it an arrow or a fireball, is homed in directly to you and to you only.

I am disapponted in this. It means that you are generally overrun a lot of the time, especially in boss battles and major skimishes that have about 15 or so enemies on screen, either charging you or firing something at you. In this respect the balance of difficulty is totally wrong.

On top of this actually enjoying the game, but I know at some point I am going to really tire of it soon enough given the constant onslaught of attacks in my direction, when the other NPC's just get in the way when I am walking!

Well, I finally finished Act 1 and really enjoyed it...so onto Act 2...wait a minute, the difficulty has ramped up by about 400 percent to something that is now totally unplayable, especially in single player.

All the things I have mentioned negatively in my previous post have come true, I've turned it off in absolute disgust of yet another **** game that manifests itself as playable as a single player game, and is nothing of the sort!
