It's a nuisance.
But really both platforms have issues.
Personally (as I have both versions) I prefer the PS3. Even though it has a slightly lower framerate in general, it has no screen tear. Also I find the image quality to be a little better in clarity compared to the 360 version. Also you get the infamous harsh shadow dithering on the 360, but on PS3 is not as prominant and smoother in comparison. Another thing worth noting that isn't mentioned in the Digital Foundry comparison is the sound quality. Listening through headphones, the PS3 has better sound quality, not by a huge margin, but noticeable.
Also It seems the community base for the PS3 is a lot larger (mainly due to the large JPN contingent) as the UR Dragon is currently on generation 67 whilst the 360 crowd are on the low 30's the last time I looked.

Just got my 1000/1000 tonight. Loved this a lot - plenty of crappy parts about it (escort quests and backtracking in particular) but the combat is amazing and the pawn system just got better and better; would love to see some "real" DLC but it seems they'd rather just get frequent and trashy bits of content out there, which is a shame.
If anyone needs a helping hand on the 360 version, my pawn is level 94 (yet costs 0 RC to those on my friends list), has knowledge of pretty much everything, and aside from a crazy high damage weapon, is dressed entirely as Guts from Berserk. What more could you possibly want?!

You may need to be an archer to do that. Never tried killing them as a melee class and I don't think your pawns will target them. You can come back to that quest later so wait until you get the chance to change vocation.
Hmmmm tips:
Early on. Don't go out at night. At least not until you know the area.
If you're using a melee class make sure you have at least one pawn capable of healing. Ideally that pawn should be a Medicant / Guardian to make sure you get healed. You can prompt healing by pushing whichever d-pad direction corresponds to help (can't remember).
When you find your first healing spring, either by questing or checking wiki, buy a hundred empty flasks and return there to fill them up. They make great healing potions.
Pawns will use healing items in the inventory when they need to.
Make sure to pick up monster drops as they can be combined into items and used to modify armor and weapons.
Remember to change vocations. Vocations that share the same weapon and core skills don't need require that those skills be unlocked again. So if you buy Shield Bash once, every vocation with that skill has it unlocked. And passive skills can be used across any vocation. Also you only have to pay to change vocation once, after that you can change at your leisure. Only place to change early on though is Gran Soren.Last edited by Riskbreaker; 01-08-2012, 20:06.

Pro tip: when you get the chance, tell your pawn to pick up items. You set this in his personality either on creation or later on. You will want to pick up loads of items for crafting and it is easy to become over encumbered by them. Your pawn can take the weight off without having to micromanage if you let him hoover up.
