I think so. I'm playing a UK copy on my JPN machine.

Apparently the difficulty of the campaign in legendary with 1 co-op partner is "perfect" according to my housemate who hijacked my xbox last night! I tried the first level solo and quickly dropped it down to Heroic(tho thats mainly because I never noticed the battle rifles on the wall before the last bit)

Got this for ?3. Just thought I'd drop it in there..
Erm.. Not sure about the MP - felt very much previous games. Played some Spartan Ops with more 'experienced' players and just watch them cane everything without me getting a look in. Haven't played SP yet bar the opening sequence but the graphic are lovely...

Completed campaign on normal. Got 6/7 terminals so will go back and grab one before trying legendary. Thought the story was OK for the most part but I'm not too familiar with the Halo universe that's been covered in the books, I only play the games. Didn't mind the ending either given this is the setup for a whole new trilogy.
Not bad. Most Halo games have had a weak or convoluted story if you ask me and this is no different.
What's up with the custom map download? Seems to be utterly borked.

also, i don't think that Halo 4 is technically superior to Crysis 2. maybe in terms of visuals but not as a whole product. AI in Halo 4 is hit and miss (at Heroic difficulty at least - i have yet to try it on Legendary). some Elites didn't even react to multiple headshots. cut-scenes are completely pre-rendered - very obviously when Master Chief suddenly holds new weapons. the dynamic lighting is also not entirely convincing. you can't spot your character's shadow for instance. physics also don't seem to be as complex as in Crysis, but i have to play some more MP to get a better picture. all that may sound like nitpicking but it's not state of the art.
in term of story-telling you are right. it's intriguing but done not entirely convincing - like almost every other Master Chief Halo before. too many big plotholes and what about the ending? does 343i really want us to believe
Cortana is gone
?
oh and i love Spartan Ops and hope to catch you online soon.

A different gun to what you were holding in game doesn't make it pre rendered.
You do cast a shadow, but only in the presence of certain light sources, what IS cool is that you actually cast a shadow onto your on screen arm and gun. I've never seen that before

Changing weapons would require every single scene with the master chief to of been reanimated to account for each weapon.
Whatever technique they use it's flawed and should be a thing of the past.

Perhaps. But back in the real world ,budgetary constraints mean that it is not viable to spend 15x as long in motion capture and post capture animation cleanup just to placate a few people offended by the master chief holding a specific weapon.
As for using real time video? It requires an absolute fraction of the disc space required to show he same thing pre rendered at the same level of IQ.
And don't play dumb about 'in game assets' requiring different animation, it's would look pretty stupid if master chief was holding a plasma sword or a pistol like an Assault Rifle

im usually a COD guy, but really enjoying this.
theres something really satisfying about using the emp charge from the little covenant handgun on a massive tank and shutting it down.
been playing alot of big team slayer, but haven't had a map with the pelican aircraft yet - are these actually in the game?
