You get play coins by walking with your 3DS.

If you've got a cliff at either end of your map you can rush there when a balloon is floating about and swing for it off the cliff with a net. It works!

Today I got another Metroid and another SS Dolphin. So I have a Metroid and 2 Dolphins to trade if anyone is interested. Also think I may have a duplicate scenic painting.

Keep an eye out for good turnip prices for me today. I'm off somewhere tomorrow and won't get back on to wifi until Saturday, which is cutting it way too fine for turnips.
