I bought this a few weeks ago for my younger sister who i will be giving it to when i see next month and have really got into it. I have managed to upgrade my main room in my house to it's maximum size and also created upstairs, downstairs and a backroom and am now looking to expand those. Flo, Cranston, Beardo & Gala have moved into my town but it's been a few days since anyone new has come in. Most of my time has been spent on the island catching fish, bugs, sea creatures to sell and donate to the museum and using my bells to create new public works. I currently have a Cube Sculpture, Wind Turbine, Dream Suite on the main street and am about to get a modern Police Station up. A gardening store is also now open on my Main Street and the T&T mart has been upgraded aswel so it doesn't feel as barren as before. The Snow people have been a pain to get perfect but iv managed to do all of them except the Snowboy and i found the Snowmams prizes for 3 snowflakes were a good way of making money especially with the Bell Boom ordinance in effect. Hopefully some more people will move into my town and those perfect fruit that i planted will grow sooner rather than later.
Technically there are a few things that irritate me like the fact that your house doesn't seem to expand on the outside even though it is expanding internally. The rolling pin style world also makes the game feel cheap and the lack of a proper 3d camera aswel as the sluggish controls particularly whilst swimming are a disappointment but overall i am enjoying it alot more than i thought. A Wii U version with a bigger budget for a much larger town and a proper 3d camera and flat map amongst other things could be fantastic.
