Saw a bit of the Vergil gameplay from the upcoming dlc. Looks really good, always liked his fighting style and found his character more appealing.

Once you get further into the game the combat mechanics are as complex as Bayoentta, probably a lot more so actually. Becuase in this game you can have 4 active weapons at any one time and have two separate grappling techniques you're required to master on top of that which either pull enemies towards you or drag you towards enemies, both of which have their own set of attacks attached to them.

i've come across some massive bugs, the whole of the second boss level had missing audio channels so there was no background noise at all, only talking. then during the fight one of the cutscenes didnt trigger and i could wail on the inanimate boss to build up an sss combo, couldnt continue until i suicided off a ledge

Finished it today, absolutely loved it. Different to the old DMC's, but isn't that the point?
The level design is much better than anything that's ever been in a DMC
the TV Station and Night Club... trippy as f**k in Limbo
, and the music at points sent chills down my spine when I was fighting the bosses etc.
I only really had a couple of minor bugs, one was when I used the angel grapple and then fell through a crate. The other was mounting a ledge, and he fell through the map.
Dante stops being a prick quite early in the game in my opinion, and grows as a character to the point where he actually cares about what's happening. I prefer that. It shows some sense of character development/ story progression, which is something that I've personally always found missing from the DMC games (even though I loved the old ones too, even 4 which quite a few seem to hate(not 2 though f**k that game)).
I am wondering how they're gonna do a sequel though. The best parts in the game
IMO were the stellar level designs in Limbo, and now that Mundus is dead and Limbo has joined with the real world, it doesn't really leave them the option of having more levels there.
I'm sure they'll find a way however.

I hope next gen devs will stick to 60fps for everything. They won't, but surely that smoothness is worth the slight drop in quality?
I mean, play a CoD game, then play say Gears of War, and feels like you're playing a slideshow. It's not so bad when you haven't played anything that's 60fps directly before it but it's definitely apparent.
