You're also going on about the game being too easy on normal difficulty and then you mention Bayonetta, a game that can be completed with your eyes closed when played on normal. So I'd say its harder than Bayonetta, not that that says much.Last edited by rmoxon; 20-01-2013, 12:59.

Of course not everyone will be obsessed over grades/ratings so YMMV, but for me aiming for Pure Platinum in Bayonetta is where the game really shines.

In a shop, for almost a full afternoon.
Why not? DMC3 was played for years after its release and Bayonetta is still being played
What is your bizarre obsession with gamertags

Capcom gave the series to ninja theory because it was failing, regardless of critical acclaim.
For this reason I think it is slightly naive of people to think ninja theory would create the next DMC3, if capcom wanted that they could have just made the game themselves!
Ninja theory's goal was to make the series more appealing to the mass market and I can say right now having a game that is more straight forward and easier was far higher on the agenda than making a super in depth fighting system to appease the hardcore (which is probably about 1% of the market).
From what I've seen of the game I think ninja theory have made this happy medium but I can understand why fans are annoyed. However I imagine if this hadn't been done we wouldn't have seen a new DMC game.

Although I'm still not sure you've actually played it at all to be honest. Find it hard to believe you stood in a game shop playing all afternoon, and I also find it hard to believe that you played it on hard but there you go.Last edited by rmoxon; 20-01-2013, 15:18.

Just for those who don't know. The game has 3 standard difficulties and then 4 unlockable ones. Including one hit kill mode and stuff like that. So there is a lot of challenge here if you want there to be.Last edited by rmoxon; 20-01-2013, 15:24.

Yeah, from my point of view I just don't find it appealing in the first place. I played DMC 2 which I know isn't the best. It was competent but in general there just isn't any interest there for me... and well... Bayonetta is superior in almost every way.

The fact that you mentioned DMC 2 makes your statement practically worthless as compared to every other game in the series it's a complete pile of ****e and didn't even play very much like the other games in the series. Still kind of enjoyed it, but it was nothing like a DMC game if you compare it to the others.
This game plays like a proper DMC.Last edited by rmoxon; 20-01-2013, 16:07.

Plus I'd just feel daft standing in HMV all afternoon playing a game..... It's no wonder all these places are closing down if people are just standing in the shops playing games rather than buying any!Last edited by rmoxon; 20-01-2013, 17:07.
