How do I get the flower by the bounty desk to turn my fish into paintings? Is my magma fish not important enough?

Finally have 5 lives at god level the fishing one was annoying as some of the star quests dont appear in the list so i had to scour the world trying to find fish i had not got yet but eventually did it yay. Now at level 106 and rising, time to focus on getting blacksmith and cook to god level next.

Once all lives are at god level and i have crafted some really strong armour and weapons i might try and tackle the tower again on origin island.

              Sweet setup!

I've just started on Paladin to get the shield but it's a bugger to level up, I assume I have to stand still and let enemies repeatedly hit me. Do stronger enemies level it up faster or is it just down for number of hits? Similar question for the weapons, now I've swapped from dagger to sword should I be killing the toughest enemies to level up fast or just lots of enemies?

Yeah the shield goes on damage taken so if you let something strong hit you it will level up really fast just keep that sucker active and take the hits but keep topping your sp meter up. Same with weapons you get more weapon exp when attacking stronger enemies but sometimes it's best to get some a bit weaker as when your not at a high enough level it can take ages to kill something.

I remember first getting to origin island and hitting the first thing i saw it was a harmless looking bunny i barely did any damage and it turned around and totally destroyed me in seconds lol and that was when i was at level 50

Very pleased that this is the Link! version without having to pay extra like I did with the original 3DS game.
$8.99 for origin island is a little steep, but worth it I imagine.

I've gone Merc but I've added Woodcutter, Angler and Miner so I can get those skills all up at the same time. I should probably add in Paladin too...

A mild case of thread resurrection.

I bought this last Wednesday and have put 70 hours in in the last six days. I've found it really gripping and addictive, although I didn't know until today how to add characters to my party (had to look it up on the net). I've got everyone to Master Level and a couple to Hero, and think I'll go for Legend with my Hunter.

It's charming, witty, and the amount of content is huge. The 'story' is a little thin, but it takes second place to the Challenges and Life Mastery anyway. Brilliant stuff - really enjoyed it, and I intend to get the Origin Island upgrade asap.

Is there anyone here who has played this and Rune Factory 4?

I like the look of RF4 more, but which is the better game?

I've played both. Fantasy Life has more variety, and is more expansive in terms of story and world. RF4 is more centred about your farm and village, romance and a touch of adventure.
RF4 is a slightly more laid back Harvest Moon with swords; Fantasy Life is an action RPG.

Better is subjective. RF4 pre-dates this by years.

I just bought this as well (last week) but have not put a huge amount of time into it. I have yet to start all the "life options". There is certainly a lot of work involved with levelling up all the jobs. The only one I have levelled twice (so far) is Paladin. I amstill learning what each job is useful for.

Dusted this game off recently, it had taken a back seat after the double whammy releases of Pokemon and Smash Bros.

The completionist in me is forcing me to level up all the jobs to their highest point possible before pushing on into Porto Puerto. Essentially it boils down to me getting everyone up to adept before I move on. My OCD means I even feel compelled to fully master every recipe to Auto+ level before moving on . Currently working through the Oak recipes for the carpenter before I move onto the Pines.

I do like the way that Top level equipment you have made is much better than the shop bought stuff, my current Oak Saw I made is better than the Pine Oak Saw that I've bought for instance.
