Finished now, I genuinely hated Chapters 16-19 and had they been the opening I'd have likely not stuck it out. The post-credit tease it frankly ludicrous also. I'll be generous and keep it a 6/10 as before that it was ok enough though, DS4 needs to shape up.

Yet another complaint I have with this game is the structure and how is does not have save points during side missions, so if you get up to a bit and have trouble, or simply have to turn off the game, when you restart it back up you will have to go through the entire side mission again if you want to complete it. On a positive note when you quit it does save all the stuff you have collected, just not your position in the game, but I still imagine many people simply won't bother completing some of the side quests for this very reason.

Just another example of the terrible game design at work.

Dead Space 4? , im be very very surprised if another was given the green light. As EA has unrealistic ideas on the numbers it should sell, and thought it had to be 5 million for 3 or it wasn't viable, to me it's a good time to put it into cold storage for a few years and try something new.

im just under half way through - enjoying it but not as much as i expected to. my only comment so far is "elevators". elevator here. elevator there. elevators everywhere. im buying up shares in Schindler, as the future of deep space business is in elevators.

Just finished this. Agree with what everyone says, 6hrs too long. Full of padding, those optional missions are a joke and a chore. Copy & Pasted environments, monotonous enemies and in certain sections they just keep coming and coming. Rather than getting panicked, i just get bored shooting the same ****. Especially at the end. Do the unitologists have ai? They certainly have piss poor aim and they rarely move. The plot and setpieces just wrapped themselves up to neatly, it seemed really lazy compared to previous efforts. Crafting seemed pointless, doesn't help that the limited edition gives you the best weapon in the game and you never run out of anything. Such a disappointment, it certainly was above average. So i'll give it a 6/10.
