The sai dagger seems interesting but limited so far. When charged up (pink) it will work like a ranged taser and stun any enemy for several seconds. When used normally it will pull you towards the enemy (like the whip from Bayo) with, in most cases, a launcher kick which you can follow with either another hard attack for a ground slam or continue with weak slashes for an air combo.

Basically, it's a God send against flying stuff, and the big robots as it buys you time to get close and initiate your attacks without even requiring to dodge or parry.

Had a good time playing this last night, but found I couldn't play for longer than an hour or so because the camera made me feel ill.

Still, its so far enjoyable. I can't recall seeing a better looking title screen!

Just had a blast through first chapter and I'm really impressed. Crazy and very stylish. Some nice nerd-service 'Metal Gear' in-jokes (

"Oh no, not again!", says Raiden after getting arm lopped off!

. The lack (or deliberate omission) of dodge takes some getting used to after years of playing games of this type where you can always easily nip out of harm's way, but I think it'll end up being an interesting 'wrinkle' on the old formula. Camera I'm finding to be perfectly manageable with some judicious use of R2 lock-on and R3 re-centering. It's great. If Snake were to make a brief cameo somehow that would be the icing on the cake but I know I'm not gonna get it.

Dodge is unlockable. X+A+any direction. It's required against some foes.

              Dodging is for the weak.

Dare I say this does quite a good job at restoring some order to Metal Gear lore. At least it's made the most sense so far (last boss time).

Just booted up, loving it so far but it just reminded me of something I hate in games.....

Boss fights you can't win because its in the story for you to fail.

^ Definition of 'revengeance' is "getting to sort out previously unbeatable bosses". Didn't you know that?

Considering re-starting at a more manly level for some extra painage. Is 'hard' hard?

It seems pretty normal apart from a couple of sections, and the last boss.

Hmm...I'll try that then. Always worth increasing challenge otherwise it might become a mash-thru.

Got a glitch right at the very end of the Sundowner boss fight: his character model just disappeared, leaving me slashing at thin air during the final zandatsu moment. Very strange.

EDIT: I wonder if it's addressed in today's Ver. 2 patch?
