Can confirm that fix has helped pretty massively on my Alienware M17x yet to try it on my beefy gaming rig though. played for about an hour and a bit with no problems constant 60fps for the most part (with TressFX off...).

It's a cool opening but the gameplay is very led through the nose at the moment - so I'm looking forward to the game opening up a little bit. Other then that though I like the way story is progressing at the moment and generally look forward to my next play session.

And blimey.... This game looks really rather lush on PC!!

Low to mid quality settings would be my guess.

Just make sure you keep hair on 'normal!'

Really enjoying this so far, the graphics, atmosphere and totally brilliant camera angles just draw you in; The game is far more scary than the likes of RE 6 to boot.

Played the opening few hours of this yesterday & I'm in love with it.

It's been compared to Uncharted but that's unfair as not only did Naughty Dog completely steal Tomb Raiders template in the first place, this reboot of Tomb Raider is its own beast. The helplessness you're put in is very effective and from the off, your on your back foot and pretty much screwed.

I love the survival feeling of the gameplay, the wonderful sense of adventure and the level design. And whilst other companies like Crytek shout from the hills how much their engine cost & how it's the best looking game on the market, Crystal Dynamics have confidently released the best looking game I've ever seen in my life.

Current game of the year after only the first few hours. Game of the generation? In my eyes, and if the game keeps up the pace & quality, it could be.

Needless to say, I adore it & everyone should play it.

I watched the GameTrailers review, and it painted a very bad impression of the story and character elements. Don't know if thats how you guys felt playing it or not, or if the GT review took things and edited them together to look like that, but my lasting impression outside of that was that it look incredibly violent, almost like an RE game!

So far the story is very straight forward, they've generally captured Lara well in the voice choice but for me the other characters are very forgettably 2 dimensional and several have quite poor voice acting behind them. It does the job though of keeping Lara on track within the story and doesn't drag. I think the reason why Uncharted comes up so much is that while it did borrow from TR's design it was still very much a seperate entity whereas this reboot TR is much more of a copy of UC than UC was of the old TR games. Still, as a gamer who doesn't want these kind of games to become more open worldy I welcome the move TR has made and Crystal Dynamics has done an amazing job of it, so many small details and animations they've crammed in to make it feel so well realised.

I think the story is great myself. It's a videogame, and action orientated one at that, yet the story really helps give that action a lot of weight. I think they have done a good job with the story.

Now 45% into this and I have loved every minute of it so far. I love the whole feel, action, sounds story and carefully picking off enemies with the bow.

Best game I have played in a while.

About 20% in and its getting better, feels like theres more to explore than Uncharted allows you to and I quite like using the bow over the gun. The voice acting is awful though, like not even B-Movie bad but worse.

About 60% in the game and on the beach level, loving every minute of it
Graphics and sound is brilliant and some of the levels have superb depth into the horizon
