Until I hit HR7 then the real volcano charm farming can begin.

Ceadeus is torture to fight (because its boring) but doing x3 back to back because a couple of others needed their urgents done was horrendous. Thankfully I needed the materials for his gear.
Nice. I'm still HR2 of course, just upgrading my farm.

Fought Arzuros and Wraggli, or whatever its name is, the poisonous Jaggi anyway. I now have an upgrade Jaggi armour set along with Jaggi dual blades, I switched from a Switch Axe to Dual Blades because I was bored of the general slowness of the weapon I used in Tri. Sure the Dual Blades sharpness decreases a lot fast than a Switch Axe, but I find them more suitable to my fighting style (get close, hit, dodge) and when charged up they can still make enemy fly, which is a welcome addition. I wodner how well they fare against armoured enemies, but so far against Jaggis and relatives, it's not that bad. Will try the Dual Blades against a Qurupeco when it gets in the Moga Woods, it's the main reason why I switched from the Axe.

              Wroggi is the poisonous Jaggi.

I'm changing between whatever weapons I can forge with the element I want. I think I'll be forging the Flint Plume first to beat Lagia to a pulp with.

I'll be online later Mr Jim!

Just Picked this up. It looks pretty good so far although I think I'll be Picking up the circle PowerPro, As I'm having trouble with the controls. This should keep me busy until a hand held version of pso 2 Is available in English.

My experiences with MH3U have been vastly superior to Tri.

I'm currently on 5* quests and have taken down the Volvidon with relative ease.

I've been using the hunting bow the entire time and it's an amazing weapon. I'm using a Wroggi Revolver III simply because I get to use both Power and Poison coatings on it, and even though it gets costly constantly buying power coatings for every major fight, it's worth it.

The thing that concerns me, is that I'm still using Jaggi Armour at this point. I've upgraded each piece to around Lv. 5 as Armor Sphere+ is dropping really nicely now, but it's still only Jaggi Armour. I kept it mainly for the Attack Up (M) buff that I'm currently getting off it, and to be fair, I've only fainted so far to the Lagiacrus and Gigginox, the latter which I've just learned how to fight better.

What's the next piece of gunner armour I should be going for? I was taking a look at Rathalos armour and thought that might be the one I go for next.

                      A few pointers.
A good starting Low Rank and High Rank armours now seems to Wroggi.

For high rank blade it has:
Sharp Sword (great for dual blades)
                      Poison Negate
Quick Eating +1 (only meats, not potions)
Team Player (boosts ability of Cha-Cha and Kayamba)

                      For high rank gunner:
                      Poison Negate
Normal Shot Up (bowguns) Rapid shot up (hunting bow)
                      Speed Eating +1
                      Team Player

I went through High Rank with both these sets until G-Rank, where I'm trying to get Ceadeus Z... only x3 more fur.. then I'll be done with that infernal creature. It was strange as I personally didn't think it was worth the time to farm Jinouga/ Bracchidios or Rathlos armour (High Rank at least) as I knew it would only be a stop gap until G-Rank was unlocked.

Thanks for the advice on that.

The rapid shot up could be very useful, especially as I'm pretty much spamming Rapid L3.

Will that be equal to, or greater than the Attack Up (M) buff I'm currently getting, or am I just reading into it too much?

The poison resist could be useful against that fscking Gigginox I suppose.

Don't forget to use Cha-cha and Kayamba for things like health restore/etc.

I've got my gunning Ingot (low) armour now so will be tackling barioth and other nonsense-monsters. I think I'll be back online later as I'll be able to put up a decent fight as a team. I'd rather be using a blade but I'm just better gunning or with a bow. Got to stick to your roots after all.

Does anyone know of a good site for getting to grips with the basics? I'm working my way through the village quests quests ok and doing some multiplayer with a friend, but don't really know what's going on stats and skill wise. I've seen bonuses for various things - I think evasion or stability, and whole bunch of others, that don't make much sense to me.
