Did it freeze? I didn't get the usual screen buzzing, just a black screen. I can't even remember when I last saved either. Damn.

    Kept you waiting, huh?

Just DCed me back to offline like if the host had quit.

Is anyone still playing? Despite not being done with ANY of my other WiiU games coupled with getting back into guitars I decided to do the sensible thing and pick this up for $50(?25).

I'm n00bing through the starter quests right now. It's a bit **** at the minute however certainly addictive. I suppose it gets about a billion times better very soon?

Better game for the winter months I would have thought. I've had to abandon MH gaming until either I'm done school or quit work. I don't have time for all three. After exams I may be tempted to jump back in, but that's not until the end of April. j0e got shot of his WiiU and Jimtendo has been on MH4 since it came out. Not really sure about the rest of the forum.

I'd be up for some games. I bought it ages ago and have only played a handful of times.

Same here. I actually have Joe's copy and console. I played a few hours on the 3DS and transferred my save to the WiiU. I tried to play online the other night but I either searched for the wrong thing or no one wanted to join a low level scrub like me.

                Well, name a weekend and I'll see. I think I'm only HR50.

Awesome. Some other n00bs to play with!

I reached my first 'big kill' quest last night and then repeated it a couple more times to complete the armour set (Jaggi).

I'm 8hrs ahead of UK time so it might be tricky getting together.

Oh well. I'll continue to plod on with single-player until I hit any brick walls.

Also, I may have asked this before but is it possible for a UK version of the 3DS game to communicate with my US WiiU version? I'm thinking about getting the 3DS version so I can play during commutes, the problem being my 3DS is a UK/PAL one. I can currently transfer Miis back and forth...

The 3DS saves are region locked dave. So USA WiiU save = USA 3DS needed.

I've actually taken a long break from MH4, so I haven't played it properly since February.
Been busy with other stuff/ games.

The real first wall you'll hit is Brachydios/ double Brachydios.

If you want, I can hop on 3U.
I need to dust that thing off, and we'll see what you need doing. Depends if you want to power level through the key quests.

I'm up for some Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate co-op action, I was getting a bit bored trying to upgrade my current weapon. As it was starting to lack on solo hunts, was well over half way in the story had killed the monster on the box artwork.

                            Nice.
Let me know when you're thinking of going online this evening and I'll see what I'm up to.

Though to be honest I know I'm going to miss my jump-mechanic-attacks, monster rodeo and most of all, the Insect Staff.

During a binge on this all day yesterday (12hrs) I managed to farm Lagiacrus all the way for a full set of his armour, plus the Switch Axe you can make from him. I've upgraded it all up to level five already so it's a substantial leap from Jaggi.

I believe the plates are hard to drop, so I was chuffed to find two of them during one of my captures. I've even got enough mats from him for the weapon upgrade once I find the bugs later in the game. Either that or I could just make a Great Sword and make better use of the Focus stat from the armour (less charge time).

My fishermen have been absolutely CANING their drops, too. I got five Golden Eggs so money is a complete non-issue for the time being.

Even though I got hooked yesterday I was quite glad to come away from it in the end, 12hrs of routine Lagi farming (80% of time spent underwater) made me feel ill.

I did try venturing online very early on, but I couldn't work out what to do. I made a room, specified I was Lagi farming, got some dudes in, and then ****-knows... I have to select a quest after that? The only quests I had access to were HR1 quests which were all boring crap ones. How do those guys know what quest I'm picking? Why am I allowed to specify Lagiacrus as the monster I'm going after if my quests/HR suck balls? I'm a bit stuck here with this bit.

You'll run out of cash fast when you start upgrading armour with stones.

To post a quest, talk to the guild girly and she'll post it on the board. Other peeps join the quest at the board.
