Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS/WiiU) review

Jho i don't mind, my most hated monster to hunt, yes even typing his name wants me to smash his stupid long fangs and just make sure they break and he dies, yes Barioth, i still hate you.

Soloing a Narga yesterday made me hate the return of the Tigrex in MH4 even more.

WOW.

Left with ?35 worth of nintendo eshop points instead. Every wiiu game price was slashed to like ?15-?20 and there was monster hunter alone at ?49.99.

I have the "pointless without online" 3ds version, which is what makes me want the wiiu game, but come on with the price.

You can play online with the 3DS one if you have a Wii U though.

Go digital for MH anyway. No point in running your physical drive into the ground with it (like I did with one of my Wiis...)

Damnit, now you've got me worried. Do disc-based saves work for digital versions?

On the WiiU I think so but don't quote me. On the 3DS there is an extraction tool to take saves from cart to use on DL versions, but it only works one way - you can't put it back once you've done it.

I would only worry if you're about to spend 12+ hours a day, 7 days a week playing it, which is what I did.

How does that work? The 3ds connects through the online Wii U? Why do you need the lan adapter?

The Wii U has to use a wired connection. Then you can play online with the 3DS using the Wii U as a bridge.
