Can't believe in the computing age we're all using base ten still.

Also surely a 10/10 game would be the greatest game of all times? So good in fact, that you'd never need to play any other games because it was so good.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

Things are only comparable to what is also out there right now. 10/10 doesn't mean the greatest game ever for the rest of time, it means its a top teir example of its genre.

Aha, so then the original 10/10 game would become a 9/10 once the new, even better version comes out? Seems a bit dumb to me. Why didn't you just say it was a good game? Then it can still be good when the next one comes out.

I think 10/10 means it's the best you can get personally. The same way that if you get 100% in a test, that means you have got every single answer right. I'm 8/10 that your 10/10 rating system is flawed.

No a 10/10 game is always a 10/10 game, as they tend to be timeless classics that age well, and even the onesthat haven't aged that well have often had such an undeniable impact on the gaming world that their rating can't be disputed.

So if the sequel is better, how can they both be 10/10? It doesn't make any sense.

"Here are two 10/10 games, yet one of them is better than the other." "Right, so isn't the inferior one a 9/10?". I fail to see how it can work.

Well I couldn't resist it. Playing now and wow that prologue...

I wanna try multiplayer but I'm too engrossed now.

Simple really, the new one is an even better 10/10.

Exactly why /10 ratings cannot work.

                      J0e, this is a firstplay thread for a game/system you don't own.

What's your point? I could be convinced to buy a PS3 and this game if I read that it was a good/great game. Then I'd own both the game and the system.

It's a clear 10 out of 10. Buy them both now. Sorry, you don't believe in 10 point scales, so there's no point arguing about/being convinced by them.

Hang on. When did J0e ditch the PS3?

On topic. This game is truly amazing. I was thinking about it earlier and some of the "it's a bit brown and drab" comments dotted about are clearly from people who haven't played far enough. Once you

leave the city things just get extrwmely beautiful with all the nature about

This (so far) is the game Resident Evil 5 should have evolved in to and may have if it had gone down survival horror instead if action shootouts
