Had a lightning storm last night, right in the middle of a KZ match. The power went off and I thought i'd share the outcome:

1.) It started in safemode
2.) It did a file system check (2 min)
3.) Got a snotty message to turn off properly next time
4.) The last KZ savegame said "Cannot upload, as it is from another PS4.
5.) It seems very stuttery now going into and out of messages

Assume 4 is just corrupt. Bit worried about 5.

Might be drastic, but you could try put saves on cloud and then format and reset machine?

All saves are on PS+, and I think you are right. I'll do that later.

Played some assassins creed 4. Not played an ac game before and I'm enjoying it. Looks gorgeous for the most part. Have had audio cut out for few seconds in cut scenes. Got stuck underneath a cart and had to start from checkpoint. The whole game is pretty easy apart from the boat bits where I have no idea what I'm doing. Certain game play bits don't feel next gen at all though and I'd like to see some effort put into this in future.

Really impressed with PS+ auto back ups of my saves. It's like my PS4 I got back yesterday was my old one, nothing's changed, everything's there . Really nice how it separates saves for games you have installed, and puts everything else in another folder. Shame you can't download saves for games you don't have installed though, seems a pointless limitation, I had to partially install all my games just to get the save. No big issue, but an annoyance nonetheless.

In other news- apparently there was nothing wrong with my PS4, the bluetooth module they've used in the PS4 is just a bit ****. It's exactly where my PS3 was, but something where I have it is interfering with the bluetooth signal because as soon as I switched it to where my Xbox One was- it worked perfectly. Not impressed with that.

Joypad touch section thingy feels a bit, well, ****. That's about the extent of my hardware gripes.

Got mine the other day. Had played it previously on some else's but now I have it I prefer it over the Xbox I think. The UI is really solid so easy to navigate now and like the news feed so you can get a quick summary on things.

So pleased it has no power brick and it's profile is so small it can fit under the tv.

My main issue is that the wifi is terrible so I have had to switch to Ethernet.
