Hawkmoon is terrible now. Ace of Spades is way better.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

That's the hunter gun smith exotic right? Looks like a last word but with beastly range and third eye, deadly stuff.

Unlike most people I have stuck by my guns waiting on a price drop and it appears to be crashing down at the moment:

PS4 is now ?30 at the game collection and amazon now have most versions under ?40, slam dunk all the way I say. I'm guessing it will be even cheaper soon based on it's current chart performance.

What about with the legendary marks what is the best way to use them ?

Infusing weapons and armour you like up to higher light levels.
AND you must buy the hung jury scout rifle from the dead orbit vendor as it's awesome!

You should all check out the tower for a Halloween themed mini candy collecting quest. Also cayde-6 is worth a look for a particularly funny mask he has on

Hung Jury is great for PvE, but for PvP it's definitely the pulse rifles that are dominating at the moment. Hawkmoon is great if you're good with headshots but you'll definitely feel the hand canon range nerf. The Vanguard Quartemaster sells a great pulse rifle - Apple of Discord. It has full auto too, which is a big bonus for prolonged sessions.

Thorn, last word and hawkmoon have been nerfed very badly. There not the be all and end all of crucible anymore, like you said it's all about pulse rifles now.

I was messing around with tlalock in crucible the other day and a very good player with bad juju absolutely destroyed me. Lesson learnt.

Filling bags of candy in the Court...I must get an Atheon mask and fall off the tower

Chart figures don't include downloads so the retail figures don't really tell us anything useful.

Well they tell us that it's selling less than it was before. Still selling well though so not sure why the price drop so soon.

It doesn't though. You're not comparing like for like. A large number of players already owned the base game, who would more than likely have bought TTK as a download.

As an aside, I don't think it will be long now until the base game becomes a free to play title, charging only for the DLCs.

I'm comparing disc based sales against disc based sales. I'm also assuming the drop off is mirrored on the digital side. I'm also assuming that like almost all videogames sales drop off after launch. I think those are all reasonable assumptions.

I'm quite interested in Destiny. I didn't really like what I played of it but I've heard so many people talking about it in a really compelling way that I want to give it a go again.

Its like opium, Destiny is just something you do once hooked .

It's a meaningless comparison, since a large number of players will already own the core game, and it isn't a new game, it's an expansion. It's not like comparing two retail releases at all. Most people I know didn't rebuy the whole package again, they upgraded via DLC. Unless you're one of those people who obsessess over crappy game box artwork and tacky plastic casing, I imagine that a large number of owners of the core game simply bought the digital upgrade, given that the retail release doesn't actually contain any of TTK on the disc.
