at level 39 now been getting better at multiplayer really loving the coop and been doing a lot of bounties.

One thing i have noticed when you level up and get better equipment do not feel over powered even level 20 mission if not careful can die quite easily

If you nabbed the 'Cult Ghost' from the heroic Paradox mission the other week, it's worth a log in...

Did this last night, added some interesting insight into Preadyth and his story. Bungie, you added some story, are you feeling ok?



Also, a very interesting article on Kotaku about what actually happened to Destiny prior to release. Some new info, some we already knew. The most interesting thing was about the Destiny tools, basically it describes them by former designers as a pile of rubbish, and is the main culprit for nothing getting done, or at all. It's described as being fantastic for the whole online infrastructure but a joke for the devs to actually get anything done.

If that's the case, and with deadlines they have to hit due to the activision contract, Bungie have really backed themselves into a corner as far as content is concerned, the ravenous fanbase is always going to chew through whatever they release far quicker than they could possible hope to develop with the current set up. Sounds like a tool set change is in order if they ever want to satisfy demand.


Edit. Apparently the exotic no time to explain is now available if you gave future war cult the ghost you got from the side daily yesterday. Mine did nothing after I gave it to them. Did anyone else get the extra side missions come up?

Step 1: turn in predyths ghost
Step 2: Join FWC
Step 3: give them rep (about 50 motes worth)
Step 4: Kill a major or ultra taken Minotaur
Step 5: dismantle core
Step 6: talk to FWC
Step 7: kill atheon
Step 8: dismantle eye
Step 9: talk to FWC
Step 10: find a chest on the twilight gap mission
Step 11: talk to FWC
Step 12: kill taken groundskeeper in black garden ( must keep anger above 100% or her despawns, does not regain health.
Step 13: get gun from FWC
Middle perks are speed reload, hand loaded and fitted stock.


Edit 2. Seems the arc burn has been removed from this weapon. Very disappointing.

You had to have handed the ghost in from the last time this mission was available. Your mission will be available at another time.
Looks like this could be my go to weapon, it's pretty cool.

Just as an FYI, don't pop a jackolyte before doing the tomb ships on Kingsfall. It bobbles in front of you during sprints

I've just been replaying the old missions, dropping a three of coins at the bosses, quite funny thrashing a low level boss and it dropping an exotic engram. This led me to get my new favourite primary, a 290 arc Zhalo Supercell. Have to put my Suros Regime exotic to bed.

Now I look a badass with my impossible machine gauntlets with arc busting out of those and the tip of my gun, looks cool.

We were doing the "get 7 orbs from 1special x3" quest in the Sepiks Prime strike and I got a 310 hawkmoon to drop from the boss! Infusion fuel but still nice.

Ah god bless the rng of this game. Used up 50 X 3 of coins the other night and not even a legendary engram. Yippee.

I'd have stopped buying them!
I'm still at 1 in 5....am only decrypting helmets and primary's now though as I have everything else that will drop maxed, plus some 310 spares for infusion.

I even got a Thunderlord drop from a purple engram the cryptarch gave me for levelling up! Only 290 tho.

Once you have achieved level 40 what do you get when the normal level up bar fills up ?

Upto about 220 light level been playing some strike missions.

One thing i have to ask taken king and house of wolves etc seems to be pretty common was the launch game really light on content ?

I believe you get a mote of light, could be wrong, for every time you "level up" the bar.
As for you light level once you hit 40 it's purely based on getting yourself decent legendary gear/exotics or infusing where possible decent gear you have maybe good perks on and don't want to loose.

More rng shenanigans...friend asks me to run the nightfall a few times as the flayer cloaks are dropping often.

3 runs, no cloaks for him. Arc and solar for me and my Titan

Where have you got this info from? I've had one Flayer cloak drop since TTK launch, and have done this strike many times in that time.

Reddit...Nightfall reward changes have made it a 50/50 chance apparently.

We did 3 runs and 2 of us got 2 each. The only one running a hunter got none

Oh, thanks for the info. Time to grind the Nightfall then, although I've already done it three time this week on my 3 chars, and didn't see it drop for anyone. I have the purple one, just need the other two.

Did they drop as post-game rewards or as soon as the last Flayer was killed?

Last flayer drops a purple...there are other theories that have been thrown up.
You must do damage to all 3 flayers and the last to die drops his version...so we stuck to those too. Sadly the void guy didn't cooperate
