Just been grinding it for the last few hours, and that theory is corrrect. Basically kill the colour you want last. I also think that you might have a better chance of getting it if you're a hunter, as I've been doing it with a warlock (with two other players as hunters) and they've had it drop a few times whereas it keeps giving me Treads Upon Stars. Not complaining though, as a legendary engram drop just turned into the Zhalo Supercell (310 attack), which I was missing.

The guys I played with did it twice more after I left, the warlock completed the set and the hunter got two Treads! So the hunter was really unlucky

Is there anyway so that a strike only starts once enough players join ?

Absolute git. I'm never going to get that weapon. It's going to be the hawkmoon all over again .

No more elemental primaries - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...postcount=6755

Finished hard KF on one character early this morning. Oryx aside, which is noticeably harder at present imo, really not a big step up from normal. Warpriest down on the second aura, Golgoroth one orb strat works like a charm still (adds in the pit seemed less aggressive...maybe down to the extra player mechanic), Daughters went even quicker. Rumoured third difficulty KF at some point.

Did hard mode twice this morning as well. Best strat by far (at this point) is to have your floater and a titan (with blessing of light) on one of the top platforms (where the witches spawned in previous round) using final round of Malice taking out ogres and knights. I was expecting more additional gameplay mechanics, but I'm glad they didn't over-do it and make it completely frustrating. They got the balance just right IMO.

Errrrm ok. So every single person will be coveting the zhalo supercell now then? Which will probably lead to it being deleted or in typical bungie fashion, nerfed into oblivion :/

What sort of perks are the TTK hard weapons dropping with then?

Same as normal mode ones, but with higher light (and different colours).

So nothing like taken major buffs then? I'm thinking along the lines of the croata hive major buffs?

No, but the initial raid perks are even more invaluable on hard mode.

The problem with Heroic Raid is, there isn't any incentive to do it more than once. You get harrowed versions of the crappy Raid weapons, thats it. When I get Harrowed Zaouli's Bane or AR, I'll infuse it into my other weapons anyway. I dumped the shotgun and rocket launcher without looking further. I've spotted one good Raid weapon and its the Machine gun, though I prefer to use Ruin Wake (have Solar) or Thunderlord as they look better. But a Harrowed is the only one I wouldn't infuse probably, and it can drop from Warpriest I think (I got my OG from there).

So the goal is that you can level up beyond 310 which makes HM you already beat, just easier. All other content is 290 light capped anyway.

With VoG there were whales to chase such as Fatebringer, VoC, Timepiece, Foil, Helmet... Mythoclast. In CE there was Fang, Word, Crux... But Harrowed versions of Raid weapons which already look and play like crap to begin with is just lame.

I can't say I'm happy with the removal of elemental primaries, but the main reason I play the raids is because they're a brilliant piece of social gaming with a totally unique atmosphere. At least two of the weapons are great (at least for PvE) and the levelling is going to be really useful for ToO and IB, so it's not a total loss.

I asked why bungie were bothering to put all that effort into the vendor weapons in all their show and tells. I'm mean a heap load of effort went into their design, I asked several times why, when the second we get an elemental raid they will be forgotten quicker than the last dreg on patrol you shot.

Guess Luke smiths confirmation explains it all.

I actually love my Hung Jury sr4 from dead orbit though. Signal sm5 scope, triple tap, extended mag & firefly. If you have 3 people with it you can rinse through ultras very quickly if your at an optimal distance.

Put a lot of time into the game today did quite a few crucible matches and did my first hard vanguard strike mission. Also did patrol missions in the dreadnaught and did the events where you fight bosses in this area.

Looking for some tips though ....legendary marks what should i save up for ? and in the mission select it shows the patrol in the cosmodrome (highlighted in purple) as a mission to do is there a specfic patrol or event for that ?

If you're into crucible a lot, Hawkmoon. For an all round great weapon for all occasions, Hung Jury SR4 scout rifle from dead orbit, until you get something with better perks from the raid maybe.
