Yeah I had this last night, took about five tries before I got coop'd with anyone to take on that final big bloke on Mars. Once it just glitched me into a wall, was stuck there.

Does anyone else think the 'magnetic grenade' is the worst and most demeaning (both to use and to be on receiving end of) weapon in a game ever? I'm getting spammed to hell with them, seems they're 'the thing' now. Not sure which class they belong to but it's not Titan. There's nothing more ridiculous in this game than trying to backpeddle and thrust-jump away from one of these homing grenades. Homing grenades. Sound absurd? It is.

Its the hunter class that has them. All the classes have an annoyance, i get spammed with titans using an over shield and that ground smash, no matter how accurate i am with a constant headshot and a full clip i can never kill them before im smashed, even with a heavy machine gun.

@Panta, how do you manipulate them, i did the russia level first and now its on to the venus winter kell one. Can you make it go back to the first level again?

The specials are all over-powered, regardless of class, but that grenade is unique. In other classes you at least have to chuck it in the vicinity of the enemy rather than having it automatically chase the enemy down for you.

It's guna be absolute hell for newbies stumbling into that slaughter house for the first time not realising what it is.

Edit. Ok so done 3 missions for the queens emissary and it's given me and 20% towards rank one, with the only other 2 bounties being head shots with specific weapons in the crucible, how the hell are you supposed to level it up??

Is the kill Draxis one the same mission everyone gets? I did the collect 200 enemy drops mission for the queen and when looking on the map it says its a lvl 24 very hard mission!!! harder than the weekly strikes!!! and i got slaughtered on that.

Grinding seems to have reared its ugly head now for me, to lvl up my only piece of legendary armour I need about 40 spirit blooms, the first area on Venus gives you these and I did a few patrol missions while grinding the queen mission but it seems its gonna take me a lot of hours to get the blooms I need as it seems to take a bit to re-spawn once you have collected it.

I also had a go at the cave out of curiosity, as I think its a right of passage or something for destiny, got there to two guys shooting into a hole, i pointed my gun rested the pad so that the trigger was held down and I didn't even need to move its kind of hypnotic shoot shoot shoot wait shoot shoot shoot wait, then every so often the satellite mission would come in and we would break the trance and defend the satellite to get some more rewards its a weird way to play a game. After an hour of nothing but blues and greens i gave up and went to do some pvp. I don't see the point bar levelling your cryptark rating. I did get one higher level blue armour piece that put me just on to lvl 24 though, and I was able to upgrade some of my other armour too.

I've found I've hit a bit of a wall with new stuff to do, it would be nice if there was a bit of a mixture to the weekly strikes the daily strikes and the queen missions as they all seem to require a super organised team of high level players, what's there for us guys stuck in the low 20s it would seem nothing at present bar replaying the lvl 20 strike play lists and pvp and hoping for a purple armour drop. getting one hit killed on the lvl 24 missions is not fun.

I'm wondering if not dying on the Strikes is one way to improve rewards. Yesterday, I received 3 purple engrams and an Exotic weapon. This was over the course of a single session, playing level 24 strikes with randoms, with me not dying in most of them. It's weird, it's like the higher your light level, the more decent the loot it throws at you. That could just as easily be wrong though, and I've just been lucky.

Regarding light level, I think it might just be possible to get to level 29 without Raid armour if you have 3 legendary + 1 exotic. I'm currently almost up to 28 and I still have 7 defense upgrades to complete across all 4 pieces of my legendary armour.

Last night I saw a small icon next to the Tower on the map screen. It looked like 2 small heads - anyone know what that was about? I've never seen it before. Also, I remember reading something somewhere that something changed on a planet if you had over a certain number of enemy kills on that planet. Can anyone recall what it is that changes?

I would happily join organised strikes are you on ps4? I'm only just lvl 24 at the moment but have just found two legendary weapons and upped my armour quite a bit so may have more success with an organised team.

Though more than likely I'm going to rotate my characters a few times (lvl. 26 Titan/ lvl. 25 Hunter/ lvl. 22 Warlock) so at least all my alternative characters have somewhat decent (armour) gear, as opposed toy Titan who is the only one with legendary armour.

Not looking forward to the PvP bounties though, since I've not even set foot in the crucible.

Wow, I thought i despised Crucible, and deathmatches in general before, but I've reached all new levels of hatred for this tonight. Looks like I've effectively hit the end of Destiny now as I won't be wasting time in Crucible any more, unless I switch my factions from Future War Cult to enable me to get decent gear without crucible points.

EDIT: just found out about this:

"If you don't like playing Destiny's multiplayer, and don't want to bother with collecting Crucible marks to purchase faction gear, let me restate that you still get 1-2 FREE legendary items every time you gain a faction reputation rank, which can be done completely from playing missions and completing Vanguard bounties. "

I'm almost at level 28 and have played about 10 Crucible games in total. There are loads of other ways of getting gear if you don't play the Crucible.

I actually don't mind the crucible. Once you figgure out to stay back from people and grab the heavy ammo as much as possible it's easy to stop most of over powered specials and annoying jumpers, god I hate jumpers, they feel my full vengeful wrath.

Question, the gear bought from the crucible vendors isn't just for the crucible right?

Correct. Weapons bought from any vendor can be used in any mode.

I'm done five Queen missions solo Jim. :P

Queen mission is a random story mission which has a boss in it. Avoid the final mission in the game however as it's in the pool.

So far got three Queen's Masks, two Queen's armours and two ships one rare and one legendary.

If you PS3 guys need a hand with one drop me a message will be on shortly.

FYI on the Crucible everyone, you can get random Exotic from it I watched in horror as the worse player on are team about level 20. Got an Exotic handgun, top player got nothing.

Just came across this guy during a Strike mission:



Which confirms my initial suspicion that you can get as far as level 29 without Raid armour. The exotic helmet is 30 light, while each other peice of legendary armour is 27. His overall Light bar was comfortably over 29, so it might be possible to get to 29 with just fully upgraded legendary armour.
