Buy body armor only, its 3 shards.

If you level up gear before you break it down you get even more parts, so it's not a bad idea to level it up, to the point just before you require shards.

The kill for the fusion rifle have to be nightfall enemies in darkness areas doesn't work in other areas of the mission.

I like how they nerfed the gearing in less than a month. People can't stand not having instant gratification I guess.

my first raid done, and it felt like the VoG map alone has more variety than the whole game put together, and it absolutely massive to point it feels like they stuck another planets worth of map in there the scale is amazing. Got a load of shards and an exotic rocket launcher with the homing cluster missiles out of it. If the other promised raids are to this size and depth i think I'd break and spend ?20 on it... something very against my no dlc expansion policy.

Id disagree most body armour is 150+ vanguard marks, where as its 60 marks for boots so doing the math
1 body armour = 2 shards for 150 marks
2 boots = 4 shards for 120 marks

I got three shards from one set of boots too so for my 120 marks, I got five shards pushing me to within one light point of level 28. looking at the upgrades I have left I might even be able to get to lvl 29 if I fully upgrade everything.


I think destiny hates me, I got my first purple drop out in the wild after about 60+ hours of gaming on Friday, it was a primary weapon engram which i need as i don't have any legendary primary's, I finished up the patrol bounty. I was doing and also found a rare ship blueprint. I thought my game had turned around for me, I rushed back to the tower, and got a new rare ship which was cool and then went to see the cryptroll,. What did my purple turn into? bloody ascendant shards, 2 measly ascendant shards from a ****ing purple !!!

My next foray into getting a legendary weapon involved the nightfall strike, we duly battled to the end defeated the boss and rubbed our hands with glee, my two teammates got cool legendary weapons, what legendary weapon did it give me? Bloody ascendant energy!!! I have so much ascendant energy I don't know what to do with it, I certainly don't have any legendary weapons to use it on

Both games steal the core of Diablo, as that's the game model they are based on.

Lebowski, the Iron Banner armor is only 10 marks! However you need to be Iron Banner Rank 3 to buy it. :P

Do purple engrams drop from enemies at all? Got my first purple last night from clearing a strike, but again it turned out to be a hunter helmet that my WARLOCK would love to be able to equip but cannot. It pisses me off also that the single player stuff is so limited in that things like bounties you can only have 5 a day or 100 vanguard marks a whole ****ing week! More content will extend the life of the game, not stupid restrictions.

you could try playing with other people, it is a multiplayer game after all and if you're cutting off co-op and pvp there isn't much there at all.

They did before the loot "Fix" however since the fix I've not seen one drop after a week of play think Bungie have messed it up big.

Pants! I guess the down time depends on the location of the people and the servers being worked on.

The downtime seems to be pretty consistent in the way it screws over peak time gaming for people in the UK/Europe. I can't remember it being any other way in the last few years.

Fine here on the PS3, although my console is NTSC-U. Does the region of the console even matter? Or is this a PS4-only issue?

if you were signed in before 6 and havent switched off you can stay on. Not sure how that works , but i don't remember Live having to do this kind of thing.

As to the machine being an ntsc-u i havent a clue if it matters, did you log on after 6?
