I've found soloing the strikes on a high level extremely difficult as I've been stuck with a Galahad E auto rifle or a hand canon, both with 240 damage and no element. Only just levelled fwc up to level 3 and waiting for tues for the crucible reset so I can get something more meaty. Though with the thorn quest within reach I might save those points for something else.

Though most of my time wasted is really my fault for not doing the bounties, dailys and weekly intensely enough.

Yeah I made the same mistake at the start I pretty much ignored bounties where as you have to be picking them up daily to improve your vanguard/crucibal rank. I blame bungie for putting so many strange obtuse leveling systems in the game. Once they all click into place it's nice to have so many things to strive for.

Ok tonight had taken the piss for handouts for others. I've received about 5 strange coins in all the time I've played the crucible and one legendary shotgun.

Tonight I've seen hawk moon, thorn, 2 exotic scout rifles, numerous legendaries and exotic shards dishes out like candy to other players. In every instance I've received nothing.

Broken doesn't even begin to cover it.

People have partners while playing destiny? I'm not sure the two are compatible to be honest. I'm surprised it's not been renamed the divorcer.

On the plus side, thanks to athheons epilogue and a real good run in the crucible I've only the special strike to do so I can get Thorne, so thatle help me out no end in the raids and high level strikes

I'm sure one of us on the PS3 can help you with that later. It's not as harsh as the Nightfall as you can self-revive throughout the whole strike.

Fired this up for the first time in ages. I'm still only Lv 5! Playing on the One.

I was doing a Lv 4 mission and was taken down by a Lv 20 Acolyte, at which time I totally lost interest!

Once I've upgraded thorn with xur at the weekend (if it's not the upgraded version) thaltle give me some decent damage output with a few usefull buffs as well.

Then it's onto finding some better leg armour.

Also ordered a bluetooth headset so comms will be easier. No more nodding at everything.

Yeah as you go down in like one hit at 29 due to the arcburn and damage buff the enemies have at 30. Nightfall is always slow going, even slower when I soloed it!!!!!!!!

Played the new Raid a handful of times last week. Started off good, we found and opened the first chest by ourselves and I got another Gjallarhorn but now with 302 att. I think CE is pretty bad honestly. Its broken to hell and back, even unintentional we just cleared the first part via glitches. The second part is boring as hell, beat it legit but can be glitched also and its less boring tbh. The third part is the only challenging part but it doesn't offer any drops. The final part is much worse than Atheon. Its one guy doing stuff and the rest is doing boring shooting (with this I mean you don't do damage, don't have to use skills or really feel _that_ helpful). At 31 its still challenging because the mechanics are so unreliable, but with just one 32 you WILL beat it ridiculously fast. In theory (and practice) you can beat this fight with 2 players because its so badly constructed, I can do enough DPS with my 331 Horn on my own. The other 4 are kind of useless.

Got Legs, Gauntlets and Body armor, and the Shotgun so far. Maxed Legs already, and once I hit level 4 with Eris I am level 32. Or earlier if I win Shards instead of energy and armor dupes.

Haha year I noticed the one hit kill, those witches were pure evil with all those modifiers on. Still, have thorn for some extra damage now so once that's fully levelled itle help me dish out more than I did before. Now it's on to my leg armour which is really weak. Need to scour the venders for find some better ones. Or get a lucky drop.

Played the cruicible last night and just used thorn, changed my play style and ended up really dominating in a good 5 matches in a row. The last match I ended up with 6.0 kd ratio. Obviously it's mostly nerfed the gun in pvp, but I love the clear line of sight it gives, makes a big diff when targeting people.

All the vendors now have decent armour for sale if you have the points. No commendation medal needed for leg or arm aarmour.
I have hit level 31 with my main character no problem, and I'm still yet to do a raid
