That rifle has explosive rounds with precision kills. Usually useless in pvp, but they were all huddled together and weak after the nade so when his head went pop they all went down

Ha nice one. Send me a feind invite if your on PS3. Fishyb.

edit. Was re watching the sony reveal gameplay trailer from 3013 of this to see just what had changed and i realised the game we got is very close to that trailer, and that was running on ps4.

Then sat in skywatch as the brief mini war broke out between fallen and hive, there had to be 30 enemies on screen plus 3 fire teams and a few low level randoms all rounding them up, setting fire lines, pushing forward, falling back, really organised and just super fun. Who needs next gen when the ps3 and 360 can pull this sort of thing off.

Yes it has soooooo much grinding, but when you have brief moments like that, its truly an amazing experience.

Nice! I gather thats Praedyth? The explosion does indeed kill shieldless people. I never managed it though.

But I did get some nice luckers:

I posted it somewhere else and a guy mentioned a double kill, didn't even know it until then

        Another one:

Nice one panta. When they all entered the door and the rocket whooshed off, I just thought you silly silly people, all bunched nicely

Incidentally, I got really annoyed at Mercury and the moon being removed from both clash and control, why did bungie do that?

Because the community complained a lot about First Light and Bastion. They were deemed too big for Clash and Control and too unbalanced because of vehicles. They are now being reduced to Combined Arms and I think that playlist is these 2 maps over and over.

While this is true, I think Bastion actually wasn't half bad. I think all they needed to do was to remove those vehicles. That would solve a lot of beef. For First Light they could've changed some things up too (and again, remove vehicles would solve a lot).

This game does need more maps. The rotation is now even smaller and the DLC maps have their own pool. Those DLC maps aren't bad by the way, the one on the Moon is one of the best maps in the game. Pantheon is okay and I even started to like Skyshock, its an open map that encourages ranged combat.

Year I like the new maps, well designed, seems stupid to of removed the first light though when skyshock favours even more ranged combat. Like you said, just remove the vehicles from them and their good to go.

It's reduced most crucible modes to 3 maps each, which just isn't enough.

Finally took the plunge and bought this

If you buy the Xbox 360 version digitally you get the Xbox One version for free so win-win.

I can see the comparisons made with Phantasy Star Online, PSO is one of my favourite games of all time so it's not a bad thing.

Well i found out why Bungie have not, and never will, implement matchmaking for the raids. It all goes horribly wrong, especially when i was the only guy who had been on it before and that was more or less being a spectator as bccass and his team efficiently dealt with everything.

Took us 4 hours to get to atheon as we all bumbled around, sadly it got too late to finish. The raid is a monumentally obtuse piece of design, completely un-obvious in every step and respect. Though as i learnt its idiosyncrasies and systems it became a lot clearer, but it takes time.

No wonder it took the first group to crack took over 24 hours solid.

They should implement matchmaking into an old Raid when a new one is released to give all the players the chance of experiencing it.

By the very nature of it being matchmaking you should expect to be put with players that may or may not have been through it before.

I would rather take my chances and have the choice of matchmaking the VoG on hard than only having the option of having to wait for a specific time to get enough players together to play it.

While I agree completely with you, as everyone should at least have the option to try and do it, I just don't think they will bother.

That's usually how it is for most beginners though. When I first started playing VoG, because I was almost always playing with randoms found on destinylfg.net, I spent many raid sessions where Gatekeepers and Atheon would take a couple of hours to complete. I'm guessing you found a group of people who had just got the game for Christmas, so hadn't played the raid before. If you ever get totally frustrated playing with a particular group in a raid, just leave and find a new group. You'll be able to continue from the last checkpoint you got to as all fireteam members get the checkpoints. Regarding randoms, if you keep the better players on your friends list, and remove the lesser players, you'll eventually have a decent friends list of reliable players who you know you won't get stuck in frustrating dead-ends with.

Gave my hunter a bit of life again by checking out the xur dark below hunter exotic, - turn invisble when melee hit, damn that is 110% useful in Crota raid, so i figured id play my hunter for a bit to ring the changes.

Anyway up all night so pretty tired, decide ah sod it might as well do a atheon HM kill on the hunter for some chance at a random exotic, anyway of course im used to months of my warlocks lovely glide ability, just sailing easily to the middle platform, and of course off i go with the sheild and little tap on the jump button, then i tap it again expecting myself to just float on over and .... oh yeah, im a totally different class... oh crap.
Thankfully I managed to recover and not plumet to my death, but my sphincter didnt make it

I love that jump on vog, most people go for the blocks that phase in and out but with the hunter triple jump it's off to the right and momentum your way down, you really feel like your falling at a rate of knots.

@beccass. Honestly we were all having a blast figuring it all out, when I did it with yourself and sm3 I didn't fully comprehend just how many mechanics were in play all the time. Unfortunately a guy that got brought in took it all far too seriously, probably only 15 and proceeded to call everyone retards for not GETTTING the raid and how common sense it all is, year it's all real commen sense if you watch all the vids on every second of the raid then call yourself an expert :/, in the end he quit which I was happy about, why sap all the fun out of it?

Edit. Vog now done with a good group who all went through it together, so we all know and learnt at the same time. Then went on to do Crota in the same night. An epic night of gaming and fallen demigods.

VoG is still sort of fun.

CE however, well... Lets just say I don't even play it anymore even though I still have a Warlock to level (My 2 Hunters are 32). I only join in to slash Crota down for the loot. Still don't have the helmet and want the exotic chance. And this fight is also horrible. If you're not SC all you do is pepper his shield. If you're SC its just frustrating but takes only 2 swords at 32.
