I stopped playing before the crota raid cheese fix patch, but i already made a nod to myself that if bungie released a buggy cheese filled crota raid then id be done, if they dont give a crap, i dont give a crap. However the game still remains "fun to play" in general.

Just reading H-Mans post above makes me nod still to the fact that bungie dont even care, still bugs in crota? For god sake.

Well anyway I still kept an eye out every week for xur sales and finally today he sold chest engram, so i could finally cash in my 300+motes to try and get heart of the praxic fire for my warlock, only took 2, ho ho now i am complete!...still bored

      Good work on the chest

I agree re. the bugs - there's no excuse really. I just find it easy to forgive Bungie given that there's no other game that does what Destiny does. There's overlap and other games do various elements better, but there's nothing that provides fps pve and pvp loot and wank in the same way. I wish there were. Since launch every other game I own has gathered dust - Destiny, for some people, is gaming crack!

So they are adding Matchmaking to the Weekly Heroic strikes but not the Nightfall.

Good for me as I am a billy no mates. Speaking of which I have an evening free for a Raid on Tuesday 24th. This is a plea for help as usual!

Are you on PS4? If so, H_Buz. We tend to rush through to the final boss these days as everyone is an impatient loot whore

For anyone who was wondering, omnigal is weak against arc damage naturally, so Fatebringer or the Croata pulse rifle will smash her shields. Though the witches she summons are solar so bring an icebreaker too

H_Buz. Sweet. Happy to rush, as long as I'm doing it!

              On PS4.

                  Don't forget no land beyond!
Quite possibly the worst/pointless weapon in the game.

On the next update have they made it so you can't do the nightfalls solo anymore?

They're adding matchmaking to the Weekly Heroic, so you won't be able to do that solo.

They are not adding matchmaking to the Nightfall.

I've completed the majority of my new PS4 purchases such as Driveclub and Grand Theft Auto V and with nothing on the horizon, my Brother loaned me his copy of Destiny.

Nearly hitting level 9, I'm thinking I've seen the majority of the game. It's got a wonderful vibe like Phantasy Star Online in that it's a restrictive MMO but as it's so restrictive, you do bump into more people on your missions. However, it feels like the combat and AI are just decent enough to be okay but not on the same levels as Halo, which had far more memorable enemy types and reactions. Also, it's gob smacking how quickly you realise the small selection of maps on offer are all the level designers have created. It's almost insulting that you run around the same maps on new missions with no real reason given why Bungie, responsible for some of the best level designs on the planet, have just been allowed to make a few.

Despite these valid criticisms, I'm in genuine awe of the music which contains some of the best music I've heard in years. Epic, hair raising and memorable all at the same time. The graphics are also suitably impressive and it has to be one of my most snapped games on the PS4, it's just s shame nothing seems to tie up.

Create 20 times the levels, create more interesting content, smooth up the AI, make players feel more connected and slap a 2 on the end and they might be onto something.

The meat of the game doesn't open up until lvl 20 wools, then you can start doing the weekly and nightfall strikes. Then when you have sufficient gear its on to the raids, where the real Destiny is hidden away, this is where bungie spent there time, it's a whole different game.

Well asides from the Raids once you've done the story all that's left really, Nightfalls just the normal strikes with a few extra rules. It just becomes about trying to create a spin on the Exotic drop wheel. Got 4th Horsemen last night and a 4th Hard Light but still missing the gjallarhorn and thunderlord.

Although that may be true, it feels like slim pickings for the people who are hitting their head on a wall where the game feels light and repetitive. "If you keep playing for another 10 - 20 hours and put up with dull mission design and repetitive level design then you'll get to see some more variety!"

I'll keep playing and see where it takes me but there's no question, the first 5 - 10 hours leave a bad impression. If it were not for the music, levelling and atmosphere, there's not many other hooks that would have kept me playing.

All valid points wools for sure.

It feels like half a game without a doubt and certainly not what we all expected. It feels like a master painter was onto something, then simply got bored, knew it would make him money anyway and handed it off to the tea boy. Which is more or less what happened, all the old school devs left and the rest simply had to pick up the pieces without intimate knowledge of how it was all supposed to be put together.

Though somehow the core gameplay shines though despite the aweful non existent story, terrible voice acting and design by PowerPoint mission structure.

Normally is be right up there with the DONT fund this half arsed pap, yet the 200+ hours I've clocked up speak differently :/
