Of course I'm making an assumption. Bungie could just set everyone straight with a simple statement but likely never will.

It would explain Peter Dinklage voice acting as it looks like he had to redo the ghost voice more than once, there's a beta video where his dialog is very different at the start.
The key thing is that the final voice actors only get called in for the last draft of the script, there was also the unexpected delay to the release which also suggests very late last minutes changes.Last edited by S3M; 24-02-2015, 20:36.

I don't believe 1 writer leaving such a big company, on such a big project, could or would bring the the whole thing to the state it ended up in. There would of been people below him with intimate knowledge of his plans and story bording.
Truth is we'll probably never find out what actually happened at the 11th hour.
I'm not complaining about the game overall, you know yourself how much I've played it. But the whole story being gutted at the last min along with tons of content was and still is weird.

yeah I think there is a game here that is greater than what the first 20 or so hours shows off, and one that really could of done with an extra year in development, you really don't get a grasp for the game till the raids the strikes and the loot hunt starts, it took me a bit to get into it and i really wasn't arsed at first but once it hooked me i havent been able to put it down since as the 400+ hours kind of shows.

ive only just got the Gallahorn and Vex in the last few weeks despite my playtime, which are supposed to be two of the best weapons in the game. I know people that have put in double this time and not got these rewards yet though thanks to the rng

800 hrs and still not got all the weapons. That's, errrrrm, interesting. I'm at over 200 now and bar a few items from Croatas raid I'm starting to struggle to play it now, there's the vex and souros which I want but do I need them or ultimately care now? Not really. What I want is more proper content to get into.
House of wolves is too long a wait now :/

Patch 1.1.1 is live.
So vex has been pretty badly nerfed, not that I have it, but certainly enjoyed pummeling people who used it against me. Not to mention now has an added ammo glitch.
Heavy ammo bug fixed, apparently, still hearing reports of people loosing it on a death in multiple modes. So well done on that bungie.
Pulse rifles now have 10% more damage, about time.
Biggest change for me though is that shotguns now do 100% more damage in pve but remain the same in pvp. Now this change might seem insignificant, however it highlights the fact to everyone that bungie CAN in fact seperate perks and weapon damage etc between pvp & pve. In which case, there's been absolutely no need all along to affect pve weapons with massive changes and outright obsoletion because of pvp whingers and crybabies. So that's awesome, thanks bungie, way to go.

Finally completed my collection last night:
Got Red Death on Tue night at Deathsinger on normal, and the Crux dropped last night at Crota on hard. I also have every exotic piece of armour for every class, so the hunt for exotics is over for me now, at least until HoW arrives. I'm glad I don't have to spend any more time at Crota on hard mode as there are still way too many players out there who don't know how to do it properly.

You can include me in that list of not very good players I'm afraid. Still doing Croata on normal each week to max out my armour to 32, along with my oversoul edict fully, before I attenpt hard properly.
