Today the RNGed one has smiled on me!

This morning I had but 1 coin but was determined to own icebreaker by day's end. The goal was accomplished thanks to 9 coins from weekly heroic strike and a further 9 from weekly nightfall. I also obtained a second Last Word from completing a Roc strike and a husk of the pit from only my 3rd restart of fist of crota. To top it all off I have just attained light 30

Ha nice one daragon. When it comes together it's awesome. My pal wasn't so lucky. He was 3 coins away and just couldn't get a single extra one despite constant roc strikes. He made the mistake of doing the weekly on normal and didn't get any on the nightfall either, it's a cruel cruel mistress.

I don't get the elitist attitude on the Bungie forums. If you raid regularly, you absolutely want as many people as possible to have Ice Breakers. It makes Oracles, Templar, and Crota battle so much easier.

Yep. You only have to have 3 people warp in the oracle section who are underpowered and the whole thing falls apart straight away.

I'm glad I'm not lucky at this game having exotics handed to me on a plate week in week out, makes you actually improve as a player and learn the ins and out properly. Like the first time you and sm3 helped me on the raid, I had a blue auto rifle that wasn't very good, but did my best to work and help the team and had a blast doing it.

I was rather lucky in Iron Banner. When I wrapped up the final bounties at level 5 the Efrideet's Spear finally dropped. Rolled it into an Arc Sniper, what I wanted. But I miss Field Scout on it. For the rest its pretty damn good (Ambush scope, Spray and play, Final Round). But I hope to find some Motes in time and reroll into Arc with Field Scout.

I also bought Radegast Fury, badly need an Arc heavy. Ofcourse it rolled in 9 solar and 1 void and then I am out of Motes.

Timurs Lash though is a wrap. I have 2. One has Spray n Play + Luck in the chamber. The other one has Outlaw, Crowd Control and Field Scout which gives it 13 shots. The former is more PvP bound.

You can re-run the weekly on the different difficulties to get the remains coins it will just reduce to either 6 or 3 depending on what level you did first.

Odd cheater in Iron Banner this time and still to many quitters have won plenty of matches but have just got **** for doing it this time around, still got the 36 light level gloves from this event which I'll level today.

anyone has heard if and when the rest of the revealed planetes (Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury) might be added via future DLC? or do we need to wait for Destiny 2? i would love to play this game some more but i am fed up visiting the same places over and over again.

there's a leaked screen shot showing something called destiny 1.5 hitting after the house of wolves comes out mid year, rummour is it will be digital and also come in the form of a standalone disk, this will probably hold one new planets to explore, as the dark below has shown us there not super generous with there ?20 expansions

Anyone done the daily story mission on lvl30 today? Keen to continue my long upgrading struggle with ascendant materials!

Seems to be a guaranteed way of getting materials rather than public event hunting.

i still not figured what to do with the materials i gather from disassembling equipment. can someone explain how this is supposed to work?

Materials are used when upgrading weapons and armour. Mainly legendary and exotic.
Early on you find you don't have enough material when you need them, later on you'll have some of it coming out your ears ha ha.
Like most things in this game it all starts passed level 20, I've learned to only upgrade weapons I actually wanna use.

People who quit probably lost 5 times. Lost 5 times in a row once, once I saw the 6th being utterly pointless I orbited too and jumped into an easy win.

Lag cheaters aside, IB was pretty cool. Was my first time going all in. Especially in afternoon I didn't have much problems completing the bounties in a quick fashion. The way IB is constructed, your better off playing from Friday or Saturday onwards. EXP buff becomes huge from there. Especially if you have all 3 IB items equipped.

Have gotten good drops too. 3 ships, a Suros Regime, Efrideet's Spear and Silimar's Wrath.

I bought Timur's and Fury. Timur's has been perfectly re rolled with field scout, crowd control and Outlaw. I have a second one with spray and play, perfect balance and luck in the chamber for crucible.

Efrideet is perfect as well, it has Arc, spray and play and final round. With ambush scope and perfect balance. Basically, empty 2 shots and the third one is an insta kill. Works wonders. For PvE its still fine, reload is lightning quick and final round kicks in every 3 shots. Its better than Black Hammer, bar White Nail.

Silimar is worthless but it dropped with Rangefinder, field scout and Persistence so its a fun bullet hose.

Fury sucks. Was out of motes and its Solar (which is overkill), Tripod, Javelin and spray and play. Great roll but Solar makes it obsolete for me. My perfect roll would've been horseshoes/tracking, Field scout, spray and play and Arc.

we battled hard into the night trying our hardest to take down both raid bosses. Crota was nearly defeated so many times and was just within our grasp but in the end we got the perfect run and took him out with some amazing teamwork, my reward for felling this beast 3 radiant energy, i didn't care the immense rush of defeating one of the hardest bits of the game felt amazing like I had really battled hard and the win was the more important than the reward.

Next we moved on to the Atheon hard mode checkpoint I had saved from early on in the week. this was the first time doing him for a lot fo the team on hard mode and only the second time i had done him on hard. it took a few wipes for us all to get into the swing of it and quite early on we got two good runs, on him his energy was low and upon moving back to the middle for the third and final run the bugs reared there head and the shield failed and we all wiped.

we picked ourselves back up and tried again and again, and eventually we got the three good runs we needed and Atheon fell, my reward, a sore throat and another sparrow, it felt good to beat both raid bosses in one night and there's always next week to try for the vex mythoclast.

Run Iron Banner a few time before so I know the drill, this time had the most cheaters however, looks like you got very luck with your drops despite me winning and being the top player on a number of matches all I got in the end was just a Efrideet's Spear.

The exotic drop will be for just playing crucible, took me 250 matches for my first crucible exotic drop.Rewards are pretty ****ty as a whole in crucible and you are better off doing strike. Would get a lot more interest if there was a Iron Banner only exotic.

Had a couple of Timur's hand cannons before and it's no substitute for Fatebringer or Hawkmoon in the crucible. Wanted one of the ships but like always it only dropped for someone else, even when I was the top player on the team.

This was my first PvP Exotic drop. And I've seen about 7 exotic drops during this IB. I do think drop rate is higher in general, perhaps on par with Vanguard ROC.

With the Sniper you got the best deal though, the AR is worthless. I completely love the Sniper. So strong and handles so incredibly well (also due to scope and balance rolls).
