Anyone try hard mode Crota last night? I tried with a group of randoms (all lvl32s), and surprisingly we managed to get to the end. Best tactic for the first bit - just run for it, don't bother shooting any enemies until you get to the bridge. Try and get 2 or 3 people onto the rock to kill the ogres. En route, it can actually be beneficial if the group splits up a bit so the enemies thin out between each party. There's a neat way to do the second section (bridge with swordbearers and gatekeepers) if you have a couple of hunters, but it's still tense and requires some skill to pull off. Titan bubbles *very* useful for the Deathsinger section, especially those with the helm of saint 14 to confuse enemies when it comes to taking the Deathsinger down in the middle room.
As for the actual Crota battle, we got him down a few times, but still need a lot more practice at that section. From bits of various streams I was watching, it seems that seeking rocket launchers are used for practically everything in that battle - Truth, Ghallarhorn, HoC are all going to be vital when it comes to taking the Swordbearer, Witches, Knights, and Ogres down. Forget about only sniping the Knights now, they're way too powerful. Suros and Red Death could be useful for the final battle too now to regen your health, as there's no Chalice of Light.
My overall impression is that hard mode has been designed for a balanced group - two of each class would be an ideal setup.
