pvp changed that's for sure, from auto rifles and shotguns to hand cannons and fusion rifles... bungie are such ****ing idiots. Played clash and rumble to get a feel for the changes, started with the large clip auto i have Hex Caster, its type is reload and rapid fire and not one for accuracy, I just couldn't do a thing with it losing fights at close and mid range to every weapon going... the biggest problem is the stability nerf.. its has really ****ed over the huge stability and recoil problems large clip autos had anyway so your barely scratching shield at mid range and compound this with the better impact from hand canons, pulse and scouts you end with a massive bullet spread which is game over when your DMG and head bonuses are nerfed as well, I could easily empty a 67 clip into the back of someone to only see I'd taken off 3/4 hp due to all the misses and dmg nerf. I don't know if someone here has a large auto with stability or flinching perks will find out they can still compete.
Faired much better with the Suros Regime, a exotic small clip auto with similar stability to small autos and perks that give hidden impact or improved stability which I used alternately to test, found I dominated at close and mid range against all the hand canons with either perk. Sadly I've capped levelling it so I have no need to use it in pvp
Shotguns are just ****, sell them. Useless in pve due to hard enemies have a rush beat down damage bonus and its averaging 2 shots to kill in pvp which is enough time to get fusioned or meleed twice... unless you lucky to have that auto shotty or the exotic one with a range perk, as it seemed no one in the 8 games I played used a shotgun.
