Not exactly 'entire'. You'll need another ?20 for the entire game: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...uron-fight-dlc

Maybe those aren't the complete full areas that will be in the DLC? Maybe there will be new enemies as well in the DLC for the new areas? There's obviously going to be loads of new gear with each pack. We'll just have to wait and see when they get released, then cast judgement. I think it would have looked better if the DLC was new full planets though. I read somewhere that more planets are going to be part of a bigger DLC next year.

That's fair enough but that's non required to complete the game and is just extra. Destiny has obviously had a mass of content held back that was either done or very far along and was just being tested, plus destiny is very much an ongoing experience that really requires big chunks of dlc to ever be properly fleshed out, but seeing as ?35 is the cost of the game, and all your getting is modified missions, as let's face it that's all they really are, is a deal breaker.

?5 would of been acceptable, I could swallow that. If they are pricing this dlc at such a price what are they going to ask for new planets?

?50 quid per planet to you mate BARGIN!!!!!. Fair play bcass this is all speculation, i will hold on judgement till we know what is in the dlc, its the most expensive dlc of any game though as most promise a years worth of content this ?35 quid only gets you two content updates. Do we know the time scale on the second wave if the first one hits in November, I'm thinking Jan-Feb if the time scales are the same.

I was expecting new planets. At the very least new areas on the current. A lot is riding on the quality and amount of content of the dlc. I was happy with what we got from the main game and expect the same ? to hour ratio with the addons.

I think expecting new planets was probably a bit naive, bearing in mind that the main game only has 4, to expect another 1/4 of a whole other game was perhaps unrealistic.

Especially given the track record developers have when it comes to DLC, I can't think of a single game that had DLC that rivalled the quality of the main game.

              Actually, Dishonored did.

Tiny tina dlc in borderlands 2 did as well. Rare to get dlc that good though as you say

At almost 4 quarters the price of a whole other game for this DLC, two new planets might not seem naive or unrealistic. Didn't Bungie themselves mention Jupiter and Mercury, or was that just speculation...can't remember...

Mercury currently features as s multiplayer map, so assets have definitely been created. I'd expect new planets with the 1.5 game next year

The whale factory was FANTASTIC!!!, Dishonored was DLC done right, i don't think its naive to expect value for your money.

lets use maths to solve this the game cost me ?40 and i got 4 planets to explore for that, so each planet has a maximum value of ?10 (?12.50 if you paid rrp) the planets are the main part of the game yes? you could argue that the PVP arenas, and stikes and raids also eat up some of the value as they are part of the package but lets not complicate it.

So for ?17.50 per dlc I would expect at least one new planet as Bungie only charged me ?10 each for the last four, what gives Bungie you tight gits

Honestly id expect to pay a little less than than for even new planets, if we're talking about value for money.

Honestly, this price point stinks of activision greed.

And yet how many of you will encourage them by paying it?

I'm out at that sort of cost. At that rate the planets will be ?50 each then cough some more up for the actual missions on them.

Are activision going for mmo levels of revenue with this game but in a stealthy way I wonder?

I shouldn't criticise. Each to their own. I only played the Alpha. I just wonder why this game is so expensive compared to its peers. Hope it's not the shape of things to come.
