I am only level 13 and now everyone is 20+ I would just like to say that if anyone wants to join me and help me finish the story missions, that would be great! I never get any randoms to play with.

what format are you on cap there are a few of us on ps4 levelling up secondary characters to get more accendant material and strange coins im currently at lvl 13 with a warlock

lol my mistake someone was telling me i can only equip two bits of raid armour, oh well im well on the way with my first two bits

Yeah I'm going to make a second Hunter soon. I can just swap out gear and do everything twice. I mostly need Energy as I want to max my exotics.

Bought Patience and Time Arc Sniper from Xur. Its an awesome Sniper and it means I have Snipers for all 3 elements. Its MUCH more fun to use than Ice Breaker because of the faster rate of fire, the lower knockback etc. And it has this beautiful muffled sound during a shot. Keeping Radar on during ADS is pretty crazy too. It plays almost exactly like the Praedyth's Revenge (which has godlike handling), but with much higher Impact stats.

But can't go wrong with having Ice Breaker, Praedyth and Patience. Got you covered on all Nightfalls.

Finished the story with mister bubbles last night and then did a strike. Have to admit..... The strike and leveling up bit me a bit, could be dangerously addictive! Funny game, it has no coherent story, the campaign is forgettable, but the grinding, shooting mechanics and social aspect make it an enjoyable package! Ps: I'm on Psvita (no comms) and Ps4.

Wait till you Nightfall/Weekly Heroic and especially Raid with a group and good loot starts to drop.

two hours it took us to beat Atheon, there where a few times it seemed impossible but then it clicked and we all got good at holding the relic and taking down oracals, and before we knew it the raid was complete.

I now have 3 pieces of raid armour my only issue now is I need an exotic helm or a raid helm as my current exotics are gloves and a chest piece.

Yep, to reach 30 without touching VoG Hard you'll need to get an exotic Helmet.

Luckily for me, during my first Hard VoG run Atheon gave me both the Helm and the Mythoclast. But I was already Level 30. Still, you can mix things up, such as using exotic body armor instead. My luck ran out, never got anything relevant since, heh. But whenever I complain about it, they're like 'shut it, you got both helm and mytho'.

Raid Helm has some good perks though.

We ran again last night and got all the way past The Templars again pretty easily. Only issue with running it twice in one week is it gives you nowt which is a bit of a git especially when all i seem to need is ascendant material.

The Vault really is a fantastic end game and its a real shame there is not more levels like this in the game. The level of teamwork and difficulty seems impossible at first its real seat of your pants gaming and the pressure on all to do well is crazy. One death can mean the difference between success and failure so you really need to be all working together well. On Atheon Tactics like helping the relic holder to take out the Praetorian on venus with grenades, or the relic holder counting down the shield buff really show how much they have nailed the need to work as a team on this.

Seem like you got quite a good haul for raid gear for one raid.
Some people can do x5 raids and not see anything decent, and no, shards and chatterwhite does not count (stares ruefully at game disc) as more and more this is becoming a Tuesday game, especially as there's Bayonetta 2 and Monster Hunter 4G staring at me waiting to be played.

Exotics helms are piss easy to get as Xur sells them.

Normal difficulty Atheon is not too difficult, it's just the bugs/ glitches are the biggest thing to contribute to team fail.

yeah will wait and see if xur has one this week have coins left over from this weekend as there wasnt much on offer, it's gonna take a ton of ascendant material to get to 30 though, whats funny is i think the new dlc will be out by the time i mannage it. Not sure how they will be upping the level cap no doubt it will be done via new raid armour combinations, what's the betting you will need 3 pieces or raid armour from the new raid to go up to lvl 33

There's a new glitch involving swapping gear (to your other guardians) via the Vault doing the rounds, where you will lose everything.

If that happened to me, I'll be shelving this. Cannae be arsed going through all that again.

There's also a new Atheon glitch to knock him off the edge, but it seems to be a lot harder to do than the previous method.

yeah was reading about that it can take hours now though and isn't guaranteed, as he can still teleport back in, I think Bungie have fixed it enough. Can't see the point myself, a good team can take him down with four runs through the mars/venus area.

The "fix" they applied is wonky as hell - it looks like they just extended the area he can walk over, even if that area is in thin air! It just looks so crap. This new glitch causes him to walk even beyond this new invisible area though. A proper fix would just ensure that he only ever walks within the boundary of the large platform he walks down onto from the steps when he first appears. The Atheon battle is tough on Hard mode, even for a full group of 30s, so it doesn't surprise me that people are still looking for glitches.
