It's been in development for over six years, DLC 1 sent us backwards through levels that are already on the disc and now they're not including a Raid in DLC 2. What have they been doing with their time and budget. I guess they're hoping we'll pay ?50 for the DLC 3 disc.

Destiny is a fun game, but rubbish and money grabbing DLC is affecting the quality of the product.

What makes me really laugh is the three people that managed to get into the house of wolves levels highlighted that a: how little content bungie had planned for it and b: once again the areas were already there.

Bungie actually banned them for leaking the vids, then had to un ban them after the blow back.

feels good to have stopped playing this **** once the 1st DLC dropped, wasn't worth the ??? then and its certainly not worth it now.

Unless the DLC turns out to be Epic, I suspect Destiny may well start to be in serious trouble as the bad experence and over priced DLC will put off most of the players. Weak DLC will also put people off buying the sequel.

As I now have all the exotic gear in game there really isn't much point in me playing it right now, all I need is th crota sparrow and the titan chest armour from VoG.

I'm genuinely baffled at how little, and how slow they are at getting stuff done for destiny too, including dlc and updates.

Though I 100% get and agree that game development is an extremely complex beast with anything and everything that could go wrong.

However, they need to throw their full weight behind this game, NOW, not next year, and get genuinly meaningful content out the door before it chokes and dies. Which I find sad as I've loved playing it, and really do want to carry on playing some awesome missions and raids, not half arsed horde modes and sloppy missions.

At the moment it feels like a lone tea boy is pottering around on the content while everyone else goes off and does destiny2.

Destiny 2 will be what exactly? a comprehensive update that adds new planets and locations to Destiny? or a completely new game?

I think it's supposed to be a new game, although I wish they would just keep adding to what they have created here. That said, we've still got well over a year and a half worth of updates/DLC to Destiny 1.

Anyone catch the prison of eldars unveil? Can't say I'm too impressed personally. Basically boils down to 4 (very small) horde arenas.

                  Very underwhelming.

Also confirmed by bungie, the next raid will be separate paid for content. So year, awesome.

I am actually really excited about the Prison of Elders, i think it will be a lot of fun. Although that professor broman dude kinda ruined the reveal for me, he really got on my nerves.

BAh humbug, id be lying if i said i want disapinted by the lack of a new raid, but it looks fun and after crota i'm sure it will hold my attention for a bit to come yet, I've played Crota so much our team can finish it in about 30 minutes and I have every drop across, all 3 characters from this event. Bungie gets a lot of stick over destiny but for me and many others id say its massive value for money, I've put about 600 hours into this game across pvp and pve and I love it, they are continually updating the core game fixing it and refining it adding new features balancing weapons and adding in requested features, if your not interested in the quest for loot and the social aspect i could see this game getting tired but for me and many others like me its struck a cord.

?60 it cost me for this and the dlc id say its excellent value, cant wait to give tirals of osiris and prison of elders a go, new strikes, new story missions, and new loot too, so come may 15 i will be all over this.

Here what your saying and I too have put in well over 200 hours. Maybe I'm being too harsh and need to give them a break and stop being a miserable d*** .

Edit. Should add that I loved the voice of the prison guard, the fallen guy. It's a great mix of an alien trying to speak English but just being a bit off.

Destiny and Hearthstone have made a combined total of nearly $1bn in revenue life-to-date, Activision announced in its …

Doing the Math 20 million people are still playing Destiny for an average of 3 hours a day, seems its a nice earner for them so i imagine it wont be going away soon, not bad really considering it came out last September.

Be interesting in how that compares to mmo's time spent playing wise. Even by there standards it must be quite high.

No. Doing the maths there are roughly 20 million registered Destiny users. But only 'active' Destiny players average around three hours a day. Not 20 million active players.

It's doing well (and I am one of those 'active' players in the main), but Activision / Bungie have been suspiciously quiet regarding how many active players there are.

Some people have made vaguely calculated estimates based on % of players with certain achievements / trophies. Only 32% approx. of players have equipped an exotic for example, based on trophy stats...given they are for sale every week all active players would have this trophy.

Or another way of looking at it....the 20 million figure includes everyone that bought the game and put it into their console. I've read approx. 5% don't even have the ship rite trophy...

math aside, for me Destiny is currently the best first person shooter on the market. i am playing PvE only for about 4 months now and it's still my every day dose of fun, relaxation and also interaction with friends. i've tried to get into Call of Duty MP again but it simply pales in comparison to what Destiny has to offer. Bungie pretty much nailed the gameplay mechanics and created a fantastic world which i hope will get better and even more interesting to explore in terms of story and lore.

the new co-op mode looks good but i am sure it wont hold interest as long as a new Raid probably would.
