What really helps is setting your routers DMZ mode.

In that setting set it to the PS4's IP.

Luckily I only had 2000 or so echoes but upon returning to the BSB my echoes where nowhere to be found. Earlier on the level I was blasted off a ladder and lost 15k, cleared the whole area and didn't find them however there was a pair of floating pink eyes...
I found that hardest boss in the game. Fire paper does big damage.

There's a guy you can talk to in Cathedral Ward whom will give you some Fire Paper if you haven't got it already...

Old Yharnam is kinda buggy. Multiple enemies tend to spawn within the level structure, exposing only few parts; you can still kill them, but it's very annoying. The effect is somewhat amplified if you have been playing for some time.

I'll give fire paper a try next time I'm one.

I think I'm level 29 currently. I should be alright but I've stopped playing now, won't be back on till Sunday or so. If I'm still having trouble then I'll call upon help.

Stupid question but to save can you just exit?

The game saves constantly, keep an eye in the top right corner.
It will save on exiting too, which you should do as the game doesn't like you switching off without exiting.

quit-saving also returns you to exactly where you were in the level, with baddies killed. Which is nice. Unlike previous Souls saves which reset you back to the start of an area and revived all baddies.

Been on this since I bought it off the Hong Kong store.TBH with you,I thought this was going to be a waste of time as I hate the soul games. From day one I've been hooked on this and at level 81 and taking my time exploring and slowly conquering the bosses, last one fallen was Rom
The only boss I had real trouble with was Father Gascoigne. Now in the unseen village ready for another rampage for blood echoes

                    I was exactly the same!
There's a lot of souls fans that are dismissing this because of the changes in the game but I think the changes are very deliberate and also, very valid because it's drawing a new audience who didn't get on with souls.
If they wanted to release another souls game they would have just made another one but they're trying to create some with new appeal and I for one have been caught hook, line and sinker!

I couldn't get on with the Souls games either.
                      Just too bloody hard.
Is this a little more lenient?
I don't mind putting time in, if it's rewarding.
Souls just tore me a new arse, and I quit.

Anyone round to help me out with a tough boss? It's Martyr Logarius... Cainhurst Castle. I'm level 45...

I definitely find it more rewarding and yes it tough in many places but once you learn the enemy patterns and start to grind your character attributes, you'll definitely make progress.Something I've always never managed with the soul games

So I managed to clear this in around 26 hours. Seems a little short considering I did a bit of farming/grinding. I'll still persevere with a NG as the combat is just so satisfying. I just wished there was more variety in the weapons. And why did they remove the upgrade paths for the weapons and armour?

Some noob help please! I've spenot a few hours wandering round the beginning area and built up a few items and found a new set of gear. (Hunters). But how do I upgrade health, weapons etc?

                              Comment

Simply go back to the hunters dream , find the woman to upgrade health, stamina etc, and go in the house to repair and fortify your weapon, simple as that.
