I've still not touched the single player, the MP is so addictive.

I did the first one to get used to the controls. Not been back since. Looking forward to getting my Amiibos later and unlocking some more gear. Level 7 right now.

You need to clear some single-player first, then. The Amiibo content is basically remixes/time-trials/limited ink runs of previously completed single-player stuff. The Amiibo will tell you to come back after you've done it.

I just finished the first world of the single player...DAVE! you could have told us there are weapon plans in SP that unlock alternate weapons for MP! Now I have to go OCD when I get back from school and finish the whole campaign.

It's worth it for the last boss.

So, I caved. I've done the first 10 Story missions and about 5 online matches. It's hard to judge at the moment, playing the SP definitely eases you in better than jumping in cold in the beta. I'm enjoying the single player even though it looks to be brief, still feels like the real test will be how the online grabs me as it still feels like it could get repetitive fast but for now it's holding up okay. Looking forward to unlocking more weapons and outfit options etc to see how compelling that side of things is.

Splat-zones is amazing! So many strategies and troll tactics can be played in order to buy back precious time for your team. The new map seems a bit pants, but it will likely shine in Splat-zones as a dual-point corridor affair.

SF, ranked mode will level you up faster.

                    Providing you win...
I guess that's the sweet thing about the regular matches that you could still level up on a losing team.

Splat Zones is great fun. And by fun I mean the aggressive type of fun. Most of my matches were on the oil rig and the amount of people on the other team inking from those high perches was hilarious.

I have also been playing about with the charger weapons a bit more. It seems best to not use them as a sniper tool as you don't spread enough ink and better off to run and gun like normal but to keep some distance. The coverage they make is amazing and builds up the super meter crazy quick.

It's almost like playing an online shooter where you're tasked with shooting everything but other players. I still swear that if the Nintendo name wasn't associated with the game...

Edit: I just read that of the 5 multiplayer maps that are in the game, you can only play from a selection of two of them every four hours after which the rotation of two maps changes. WTF?
Yup, I completely agree. It's mediocrity at it is most mediocre. Defo selling this one on...

Played another hour tonight. Up to level 8.

Opened my girl inkling Amiibo too. Really nice.

Love it, love it!! Just great stuff.

This is so addictive, the amount of times I have supposed to switch it off and I think go on one more game. The game whilst waiting for online matches is even quality (squid style Ice Climber game). If Nintendo supports this like it did Mario Kart we are in for a treat.

It's amazing how fast a sick day can breeze past when you're playing this solidly. Spent all morning on Splat-zones, it's absolutely brutal although I think I'm finally becoming an asset. Golden Aerosprayer with mines and nuke seems to be my favourite now, but that will likely change on each map rotation.

Game Of The Year for me, so far. Not that there's been much competition.

Good games Mr Dave! You're very offense-based huh?
