bought this today, the 1.01 download is crawling down, any tips to speed it up?

I tried the pause restart trick a few times, bit no improvement.

Put the PS4 into sleep mode and put the kettle on.

Ahh I really want to like this. I've had it on my wishlist for ages and I have a fairly beast PC to run it, triple monitor and 2x 970s.

I can't enjoy. A bit too dry for me and I sense another grindfest. Maybe if I was younger with some free time I could do it.

Meh I got a refund on Steam within 3 hours of requesting one. Pretty nice by Steam for that option.

Quality game. I got to level 30 yesterday. I'm now 25 in the Dark Zone and just had my first major loss of items. It happens I guess.

I had a good few co-op games today including the Napalm production site which I don't think I could have completed solo and some DZ runs. Picked up some good gear from DZ.
Still only lv12 as I don't want to rush through it. I can't beleive some people have reached max levels in both regular and DZ in two days

Finally got a chance to play it for a wee while. I am a single player, so was a bit unsure, but so far I was wrong. Really enjoying it and looking forward to a long game.

Try checking out the safe houses in the DZ, there are already items listed that requires 30/50 (cap is 30/30 atm)

Reaching 30 in the main game is easy, you only need to do the story missions. They are pretty generous with handing out XP. DZ on the otherhand is such a drag, because there are no objectives or anything. Basically you can only earn xp, by killing npcs and players.

It needs rushing through because Dark Souls III.

DZ is easy enough to level up if you play it safe. I went from 0-25 in a day. The game is not difficult at all provided you use the cover provided.

Managed to get a bit of time on this last night and I think it's going to be my focus this week. I'm at 37% story missions complete just past the Napalm factory with nearly all West side main missions complete, Level 10 at 6 and a half hours according to Uplay. So broadly a third of the way, soloing it with no real issues (on normal). I think of any sequel I'd like to see other players have more of a presence outside the DZ. The streets are pretty but there's a lot of wasted space in the game, would be good to at least be able to see other players going about their business.

I'm 15h in level 13 and doing side missions because the next story missions are at higher levels. I could probably do them but I'm a bit bored of the game now.

Having a lot of fun with this, both single-player and co-op, strong in both areas so far. As has already been said it feels like a big game, in every way, with loads of things to do and explore. Best of all it reminds me of the DMZ comic book series Quality game.
