From memory I can't say. I'll take a look when I get home and let you know. I can say that my twin sword set up can kill those morphing blob things on the underground areas in one hit, no worries and make short work of those massive balls. It's the bosses that cause me a lot of trouble.

im using the Bloodfang on a quality build 50 dex 50 strength it has a bleed build up ability and a really useful one two weapon art that dodges you away. Its ability to stagger bosses and cause massive damage from bleed proc's makes it an amazing OP weapon. A fully leveled mimic summon is also super op for bosses too, it takes your current build and puts another of you on the battlefield which massively improves your ability too build up a bleed proc or a stagger. My top tip for most bosses is just get good at doge rolling the iframes you get seem to be super generous and make a lot of bosses attacks redundant. It also makes for a more aggressive style of play where you get lots of hits in and don't give bosses time to get lots of attacks off before their health is gone.

Are there enough materials to upgrade more than one weapon in this?

yes. You'll be able to pick up plenty off the floor from adventuring around with out grinding you can easily make 2 or 3 Standard weapons to max and 4-5 unique weapons. If you want to grind you can make as many as you want, shop bells can be found to buy upgrades and the last upgrade to max for each standard and unique weapon you have certain npc's you can buy from if you complete there quest line.

As a caveat just be careful what you upgrade as you progress, I've yet to find anymore than a scarce few of the top level materials, going into the later part of the game high level materials are still rare to come across. Mid level materials all the way up to 7s I'm swimming in. i thought long and hard about witch weapon to bring up to max first.

Thanks chaps I'll continue to scale my starter longsword for now and maybe specialise in something more special as the game goes on.

So here's what my character is rocking.

I'll take a look in to finding arms similar to Lebowski.

All the points in endurance are more than likely dragging your dps way down and are not needed, if you want heavy Armour their are loads of talismans that will bring up your equip load and endurance you have really low vigour for the area your in too which is probably not helping you with bosses and enemys.

My attack power with the below stats just with bloodfang is 841 a hit your main right hand is only getting 341 where as your offhand is 600+, you can only hit one thing at once so dual wielding is putting burdens on your equip load and dragging down your dps. If you want an easier time id switch bloodfang to your main hand drop the second weapon and respec points from your endurance into your vigour and dex.

don't underestimate your summons too the mimic is god tier when maxed out and dose a great job of distracting bosses.

at level 122 with talismans like the scar seal and with a rune arc active Ive got

                  60 vigor
                  15 mind
                  36 endurance
                  55 Dex
                  55 Strength
                  14 int
                  14 faith
                  12 arcaine

Most bosses are going down first time with the above build and nothings really stopped me in my tracks bar that bell bearing knight in Cailed.

My suggestion would be to lower the load, when heavy your dodges are less effective and you regen stamina at a lower rate. Ditching the greave and gloves should do the trick with a negligible decrease in defence. I would also drop the Fire talisman for either the Ritual Shield or Green Turtle talisman.
Also, if you use the Bloodhound's Fang, drop Radhan's talisman for something else. And I would totally stick with that sword or other weapons that can inflict blood loss, I never quite liked weapons with split damage unless you have very high stats.

Thanks man. I'll take the advice on board. When it comes to specking out characters I generally have no idea what I'm doing. I hate to experiment in fear of wasting points . Your advice is really helpful though!

I'll give that a try too, loosing something like the gloves and see how it works out.

You have already unlocked the character for respecing, and the item required is not that rare. Since you are running a physical build, focus on Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, and Vigor. 40 Vigor will carry you through the game, 50 in both Str and Dex will let you use all weapons with substantial bonuses, or pick your favourite weapon, check the stat with the highest scaling, and focus on that.
Endurance can be around 30 or 40, with talismans to increase equip load you'll be able to wear fairly heavy armour and, if you want, a greatshield.
Although I would stress that keeping mobile is a much better option.

This times a million fat rolling lowers your ability to get out of the way of big hits and reduces your iframes so your more likely to get hit.

If you revisit the boss you beat in the center of

Raya Lucaria Academy and take her a Larval Tear you can use it to reallocate your stats and respec your charcter

I've done it a few times as i wanted to tr out a few weapons and builds you should have quite a few larval tears too at this point.

Yep, did that yesterday . Gave myself more dex and vigor as recommended. It has made a difference. Thanks for the advice.
