Just finished my 26th playthrough. 599 hours, which is 100 shy of Dark Souls 3 & Bloodborne. I haven’t played for three days now so this might be the end. If not, send help.

Holy **** man, 26 playthroughs and 599 hours?! Let's crunch the numbers on this.

The release date (25th February) was 82 days or 1941 hours ago.

Accounting for 8 hours of sleep per day, you would have slept approximately 656 of those 1941 hours.

This leaves a total of 1285 waking hours between 25th February and today.

That means you have spent just under 50% of your waking hours playing Elden Ring!

Yeah, that would make sense. I’ve taken a break from normal life in the last three months, and it certainly feels like I’ve done nothing else. But no more! I’m going to read books now until the MH: Rise expansion comes out.

Got back into this myself over the last couple of days, and I've just beaten Godrick the Grafted. It took a good few goes but he wasn't too tough in the end. That feeling you get when you beat a Souls boss is just *chef kiss*.

Now level 32, and I've finally been able to make my +6 Uchi Keen. I've been stacking points in Dex (up to 25 atm), so it hits decently hard.

Still on the lookout for something to switch up into though, as I've used the Uchi so much in Souls games over the years. I realised I accidentally sold, like a bloody idiot, the claws you get in Stormveil Castle. A bit gutted to be honest as I would've loved to have used those. I can see from research you find more claws later on, so once I've got those I think I will start using them for a bit.

But before that, I've started pratting around in the next area, the one immediately after Stormveil. The vista that you get as you enter it is absolutely amazing. I really think the world design in this is tremendous. It looks like the concept art you'd look at years ago and think to yourself 'Wow, that's cool, I wish the actual game looked like that'. And now it does!

My boy just beat the game solo no summons including Malenia I admire his perseverance. I'm on a new INT mage build and able to solo all bosses so far, in some regards it really is easy mode. Radahn is next though, let's see how that goes

Ah, like me. Doing the whole game off line. I stopped by online service with xbox after 10 years since I almost never play online in any great amount.
The free games with gold are mostly crap or I already own them. The on demand games was nice but I'd rather have the real disc so no great loss for me.

170 ish hours to get the platinum with multiple play-throughs, I tired a few different builds including a Dex Arcane split so i could try out the Rivers of Blood, its special is absolutely crazy but i didn't like the range on it after using great swords it almost felt like i was using a tooth pick to kill enemy's the good thing about this build was because of the arcane requirements you can also use a lot of the dragon spells to do things like frost or rot too bosses at the start of a fight.

The most broken set up i had though was the Dragon King's Cragblade paired with the Fingerprint Stone Shield as the sword is a pokey sword you just sit behind your shield and poke everything to death but with the great shield talisman you can negate pretty much anything thrown at you, its only downside is you have to keep an eye on your stamina and it makes game-play a bit dull.

For me though nothing came close to the Bloodhound Fang (curved great sword) for pure damage output the bleed build up is crazy, its always nice to see a massive chunk of health fall off a boss when they get hit with the bleed proc. Towards the end of the game i could pair it with a great shield to just block big hits that you can then counter for some really nice quick boss kills. That i used it all the way to the end shows how good a weapon it is, the weapon art on it is amazing too a heavy hit followed by a quick dodge backwards is great for getting in and out of range of enemy's and dealing big chunk of damage.

Yep my son used the Bloodhound Fang almost the whole playthough it's a great weapon. With my int sorcerer build I've just gotten the Moonlight Greatsword - I'm having loads of fun with it so far but it is very hard to let go of my Moonveil

I got me one of them Bloobhound Fangs and I've been tempted but so far I've been sticking with the Reduvia Dagger. It's nasty, fast and light, and has that handy projectile special.

Just watched some build videos with it the special looks good and when combined with a another dagger like the Scorpion's Stinger you can get Bleed and Rot build up on enemy's and bosses. not sure id get on with the range but it looks very very powerful.

I hadn't thought of a second dagger. I'll try that. At the moment I've paired it with lots of arcane/faith for incantations, in particular the dragon school ones, which make up for the poor range.

I've been using a lot of the dragon incantations too, i pumped a few points into arcane as its always nice to be able to use the dragon spells to put status's on enemy's, if you want to dual weild the Reduvia id be happy to jump across and drop you one as you can only get one per world and its not a weapon i'm built for.

That sounds a bit like cheating - I'm good for now thanks, but I might take you up on it one day! I'm always open to out-cheesing Soulsbornes.

I just picked up the Bloodhound Fang yesterday after reading about it on here (

beating Darriwil to get it was easy in the end, as I was able to summon Blaidd and he did most of the work

), and I'm noticing the difference compared with the +4 Uchi I was rocking up to now. I'm just looking for a somber smithing stone 3 so I can level it up further (already got 4, 5 and 6), then I'm going to try Godrick the Grafted with it and see how I get on. The R2 move is epic as well- making short work of most enemies in Stormveil Castle.

Somber Stone +3 can be found in the area after Godrick. Just bump DEX for a while and maybe Arcane (bloodloss scales with that) and you'll be fine.
