I forgot to say that when I was playing with Zaki the other day, some asshat invaded, we waited for him to find us, then Zaki killed him with one shot.

Then we instinctively ran over to his corpse and began teabagging him!

Reverse the viewpoint, and this is probably how the Soulsborne AI views actual human players. And that's why its important to brute force and cheese these games.

        Good work, keep it up.

I played a fair bit over the weekend changed things up a little too. I had a couple of new swords to move on to from the Bloodhound's Fang. I liked the look/sound of the Blasphemous Blade and the Sword of Night and Flame and ended up going with the latter. Had to re-spec my character with an emphasis on Intelligence and Faith (and a bit more Mind for the FP boost) but I now have a much more versatile build with a strong focussed attack, a wide flame attack and a pretty good standard sword swing too (no satisfyingly deep slicing like the Fang though). But it is a really fun-to-play build.

I also found the Mimic summon as well which I was amazed at, costing no FP but just some HP. It's class. With this I took three goes at the pesky gargoyles and beat them and then went down to the depths through the coffin. Top stuff.

Been out a bit this weekend, so not been on too much.

Started my session mid-dungeon in one I found whilst exploring the land around Volcano Manor.
Loads of poison around, but it's the place that gets you the mushroom armour to reduce infection buildup that would have been useful in the lake of rot!

Great fun and it culminates in a boss battle with TWO superprawns.
Called my mimic and he took aaaages to appear, but once he was distracting them, I popped the Mohg Trident and it flippin' tore 'em in half!

Last night, I spent the night exploring further - it will be a shame when there are no more lands to discover!

Round the back of volcano manor there was loads of bits, but the highlights was a castle, protected by fire mages, knights and those battle chariots with some tough chubber in it as boss. He beat me once, but not twice!

Then some huts with one of those damn ultrabears.
However, hid behind a house and spammed the trident.
            Ex-bear now.

            One of those robomaiden things.

A lava lake with some kind of boss in it, erk. Lava Wyrm or something, but I gave it a swerve.

Finally, started ascending some mountain, climbing ladders to the top.
Stopped at a grace, surrounded by player notes like "boss ahead" and "death lies beyond", so I'm expecting something nasty at the top.

You might have met one already, but the one atop of the mountain is nastier. That said, judging by your posts, you are more than prepared to face it.

Part of me wants to Google some prep, but I stopped myself as I'm enjoying the mystery, although I predict death.

                  Tip:

you can use your horse and a tanky summon, but pay attention to where you go.

Got to the top of the mountain and it wasn't the deathbird I was expecting.
It was an incongruous crystalline bull, as you do.
There was a humorous moment where he rammed me off and I was falling for about 10 minutes.

Did all that and it looped back to the start, so finished off mooching the other way with an annoying moment where I lost loads of runes to some paltry knights ganging up on me whilst stuck next to a tent. Respawned the other side of a rope bridge and set off to retrieve them, but stopped to take a snap on the bridge, afterwards, I pressed a wrong button and boosted off the bridge to my doom and poverty. Ha ha ha.

Then started looking into this bleed build and need most parts.
I can't get Rivers of Blood yet, but I can get the others, starting with some armour gained from a Volcano Manor hit job.
Went to the capital to do it, only to realise it was the wrong one! Job done, though.
Next one was at the top of another mountain (I'm sensing a theme) which saw me traversing caves, rope bridges and ladders.

Had to beat the boss first, before even doing the hit - a giant lava-spewing dragon holding a sword. Yikes.
Did my usual mimic distraction whilst spamming the trident of doom, which seems to be working very nicely, thank you very much.

Did the hit after a few attempts and got the armour set.
Only problem is that I'm overburdened when wearing it!
Put on the pendant to boost what I can carry and removed the trident from my load and we're okay.
                      Went to bed IRL.

Chimp why are you still rocking that skanky samurai starting armour? Hasn't anything better come up?

Hi pants must stink with how many times I've filled them running away from stuff early on!

As per my post, I've got a whole set of armour from that second Volcano hit and I literally changed last night for the first time!

I take snaps as I play and when I've taken 4, I post them on Twitter, the free image-hosting site.
I've got 2 in the bag, including a snap of my snazzy new kit (that I can't carry without boosts yet, ha!), which I'll post tomorrow.

Appreciate your concern for my hygiene though!

Well, because I've been getting complaints about my outfit from the resident Jean Paul Gaultier, here's a couple of outfit ideas I've been working on.

The white mask, granted from defeated the last white mask invasion in that horrible area near Mohg is the must-have this season because it boosts blood loss.

I have the bull-goat armour because it provides the highest protection.
It's hella heavy though and I can't carry it and my trident at the same time yet.

Here's another one I'm looking at, swapping the armour for the raptor feathers, which gives a bonus on jumping attacks.
Twinned with those bleed daggers, they do some swift damage.

I tried a few sword combos out, learning two things.
Firstly, R1 attacks with one blade, L1 attacks with both.
Secondly, not every sword likes being dual wielded, so that massive katana from the samurai mission is a no-go.

I'd coincidentally picked up the Scavenger's Curved Sword the night before, but you can only get one per run, but early on there's a skeleton that drops a Bandit's Curved Sword that doesn't have natural bleed but can be buffed, so I got a couple of those.

I've picked up looooads of smithing stones and not used them, needing only somber ones for the old B-Tooth sword, so I was able to take the Scavenger's sword from 0 to +21 in one go!

Didn't really do too much adventuring last night, mainly testing the builds out.
I was particularly impressed with the bandit/scavenger combo + feathers armour + L1 jump attack.

Yes, I met him too. Got bulled off a couple of times too but managed to beat him using my mimic (and a different landing point on the plateau ... where he's not immediately agro'd and you can set-up your attack). Had a good explore of the area beyond and did a few things but won't go into specifics.

Then after all that I finally figured out how to upgrade my summon, so I ploughed a few runes and resources into that. Looking forward to trying him out ... I think I'm going to need him where I am now.

Nice! I'd picked up a couple of [10] gravewort flowers so upped both my archer and mimic to 10 as I use them all the time.
                                Mimic is soooo good.
