    Best licensed game ever is.....

we all know which game would have won this only a few short months ago but now there is a new kid on the block which has taken over the crown (imo of course)

so Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butchers Bay is the best movie tie-in yet released. The reason being that it captures the essence of Riddick (the character) perfectly, combines a variety of different genre's (stealth/fps/beat em up) and just oozes quality throughout. it envelops the riddick universe, combining with Pitch Black, Dark Fury and Chronicles of Riddick to develop a character through various mediums making it an extremely strong sci-fi series which can only grow and grow....

    so whats your choice?

Never played Riddick so can't comment on that. Obvious choice, and mine TBH, would be N64 Goldeneye.

Honorable mentions to PS1 Die Hard, arcade Aliens 2 arcade game and, err, dunno what else really.

          Goldeneye.

Come on, it's just stunning. I've not yet played Riddick, so I can't compare, but really if this is about the best licensed game, I don't think that it could get much better than GE. It's just a superb game. Irrespective of how closely it reflects the bond universe, whether it's accurate or whatever, it's just great.

I would also agree with Die Hard, 3 games in one, 3 different genres, and a really fun Light gun game... certainly very good.

Spider man 2 has been getting some very favorable reviews, not been released here yet, but better than Goldeneye, I wouldn't put a bet on it.

In jest? If not, never mind.
My memory has been jogged of some more fantastic film tie games. Batman and Robocop were excellent on the Amstrad CPC, Universal Soldier was also far superior to the film. It was a blatant rip off of Turrican with a different sprite, but hey, it was good anyhow.

Actually if AD&D (Forgotten Realms) counts as a license then Baldurs Gate 2 - no contest - no really - stick that badly aged N64 cart up your "goldeneye"!

Oooh, KoTOR... good call... Fairplay, I have no imagination or recollection. I really can't remember games unless someone mentions them.

                      KoTOR for me!

Batman - the Movie. (Amiga) Swinging round corners in the Batmobile, great stuff!
                        or Robocop (Arcade)

I have fond memories of Diehard Trilogy too.

TIE Fighter. For being ace, having the best difficulty curve of all time, and for letting you fly alongside Vader. If not, then Robotech: Battlecry, just to annoy all those strange people who don't like it

Riddick isn't the best movie tie in, although it is one of the best uses of a licence. It is aces though, despite what Marklar says .

Best tie in must be either Goldeneye, the X-Wing series or KOTOR surely?
