Change of topic slightly, but does anyone else think that RR Type 4 was one of the best looking PSone games?

Ok
I picked this game up so far i'm likeing it but.........it just dosen't compare to rrt4. Which is not only one of the best looking games on the ps1 but the best game on the ps1 imho.
Theres just something about it which nothing else i've played can contend with.
RRT4'S sounrack is amazing theres not a bland song in the whole game.RR5's soundtack is good but it seems diffrent tbh and not aswell suited to my personal taste. Also what can compare to the intro on rrt4?

Well I've always been a huge RR fan. I bought RR5 with my PS2 in Jap launch day and just played it every day for months. Once I got maximum mode (the only real challenge) I was totally hooked, 5 laps per track, 5 tracks and being the RR fanboy I am I completed it 250 times thats over 20,000 km on the clock. Wow loved it.
When RR 1 came out back in 94' (OMFG did anyone see the preview on Gamesmaster with the first in-game footage?) I was blown away and never became bored of the circuit. Fans will know what I mean, its easy to pic up and play but its had to fully master. When you do master it your at one with the car and a whole host of tricks become available which never fail to impress. RR Revolution was more a game for the experts, tighter handling which wasn't as good but an awesome link option. I don't know how many of you here had the opportunity to try it but it was one of the most amazing link experiences on the PS1 at the time.
I also held the UK Rage Racer tournament and again it needed the expert touch, its all in the gears and getting those difficult but vital slides right. Great soundtrack as well.
RRT4 was back to the roots, introducing the grip option, it was easy to pic up and play and again difficult to master. The Jogcon was poo however (though I liked the force feedback), and as already mentioned the graphic's were awesome. Again a soundtrack that never fails to please.
Rock on RR I hope a new one comes out eventually, when RR5 came out my review was edited and review scores dropped but then what did I know? I was only a RR expert who understood the game fully?

This is the game that made me fork out ?600 or so for my import PS2 on launch.
It kept me going for a good few months (as did RR when I got my JP PSX), while my other games were left by the wayside. Later sold my PS2 on after getting fed up of waiting for some quality games.
I'm picking up another PS2 soon, RR V will be at the top of the shopping list. Classic RR.
