I have no interest in Halo 2 whatsoever, The first game was a pure exercise in hype and I found it hard to see beyond the incredibly poor and uninteresting character design. It was dull and bland experience.

No interest in HALO 2, though it does have a following in the ranks of pimply 'I'm a PC gamer pretending to be a console gamer' posers. Bought my XBox for PDO and haven't played anything on it since.
Mario Sunshine was a huge disappointment and I think Ninty know it too. The first 'proper' Mario game on the Cube could very well be Paper Mario.

Not going to get Halo 2, hardly ever played the first, if it hadn't come with the Xbox then I probably would never have played it.
Owned MS, Zelda, but I didn't buy Metroid Prime, despite the positive things everybody said about it. Might pick it up one day though, just to see if the graphics are as good as they're meant to be.

Halo came with my xbox, I liked it to start with, especially the atmopshere of the game but I ended up hating it. I dont normally like FPS games, the design and coherience isnt there at all for someone that isnt into the genre... like the first level with its crap dark air vent maze bit, identical looking rooms, then the general complete brokeness of the controls for the stupid buggy thing in the next level... where you have to steer it around corridors and make jumps is where i stopped playing :/ I think I'll rent Halo 2 to see what its like but I doubt I'll buy it..
Ninja Gaiden - rented - was ok - didnt like enough to buy.. PGR2 = love to bits.
Super Mario Sunshine, Im crap at but I never feel like blaming the game and just try other levels and its nice to just wander about in the sunshine randomly making progress.. Ditto with Zelda although im finding it goes to a complete dead end when you are stuck... Metroid Prime I liked but never got very far in.. I havent played it in six months :S
also Im probably the only person in the universe who had a SNES without owning a single mario game and the only nintendo ones I had for it were F-Zero and Sim City :/

i am doubting highly if i would buy halo 2, i have played the gameboy version of tetris, and i bought me a megadrive to play ghoul's and ghousts (probably spelled wrong). i bought the dreamcast for crazy taxi, and the xbox for project gotham racing 2. but if i would not have bought me a xbox, then outrun 2 would be for sure the reason to still go out and buy one.

yeah i have a lot of killer apps games i like the hype and excitment of launch stuff or the big titles that you have to wait for
With the nes i got the turtles pack the real killer app game for the uk mario dident sell **** in this country it was all the turtles hype that shifted the nes if you rember, admitdley most kids realised that it was a pile of crap and went out and got mario straight away, but intialy nintendo used the turtles to get them in peoples homes.
ps2 sold me on nothing to start with and i waited quite a bit to get one as the launch line up was pretty poor, it was burnout and devil may cry that made me want one and they were quite a bit into its life if you rember
and the xbox halo and panzer draggon orta sold the xbox to me but again it was quite a bit past launch that i got intrested in it
so as you can see you dont have to get it right from the start always the nes dident neither did the xbox or the ps2 some things are slow burners i rember everyone was writeing of the xbox before launch but live and some impresive exclusives have kept it in the running

before i go on, i tell you that i am a gamer, and no fanboy. i love every console i have, and probably also the consoles i dont own.
for me, the killer apps on ps2 are: gran turismo 3 A-spec, metal gear solid, burnout 2, need for speed hot pursuite 2, and prince of persia.
i know serveral games are also multiplatform, and usually i will get the xbox version if the game gets released on it. just becouse i love the saving on hard disk. on the ps2 i have to dig trough a pile of memory cards.
i gues every console has it's pro's and con's.
