Not buying the 'killer app'

No interest in HALO 2, though it does have a following in the ranks of pimply 'I'm a PC gamer pretending to be a console gamer' posers. Bought my XBox for PDO and haven't played anything on it since.

I had a difficult time formulating a response to this. It's just so incredibly... Nope, I can't think of a word to describe it. I was unaware that being a pimply console gamer was enough of a social status symbol that pimply PC gamers would try to immitate them.

im not really bothered about halo 2, i found the first one a bit dull, the levels are a bit samey and as mentioned previously in this thread, the character design is really poor. also all the corridoors in any given level look exactly the same, which is dull.

as killer apps go, i usually play and enjoy them. i love sunshine, though i havent played wind waker yet and dont really like metroid prime. i love GTA3 and vice city to death.

retro, i liked crash bandicoot, tomb raider, FFVII, metal gear solid and resident evil on my ps1, OOT and mario 64 on the n64, mario world on the snes and the sonic games on the MD.

in the past i guess a game became a killer app by either being the mascot of the console or more often by just being a damn good game.
