Could someone post some more info about Timesplitters 3. Having no mates I didn't really enjoy the single player of 2.

I'm getting TS3 just because of the British humour.
The game might be pants, but who could refuse a developer which says:

The cat, in many ways, is the new monkey.
        An impressively insightful observation there

And one of many great lines from NGC's interview with Free Radical

well single player arcade on ts2 was wicked so if ts3 is more of the same then bring it on!!!

and especially the new map maker that ive read good things about.

          seems like a must buy.

EDIT. just checking, mr_sockochri you got your subs copy right? seems like edge are getting a bit lazy, or is it the post? used to recieve mine on the monday before street release.

also what features are in it and whats on the cover?

Interesting to know if they reviewed the Jpn or US code for DMC3 as I'm finding the US version perhaps a little too hard - tough enough to downgrade to an 8 from otherwise a 9 for me.

Low mark for Xenosaga too....although the movie direction is a little off compared to the original the developing story and improvements ot the battle system should have sacored it as high as the original (which got an 8 if I remember rightly)

So this in the shops tomorrow?

Copies of it were in my local WH Smiths today actually.

I work in WH Smiths and we get it a day or two early almost every month. We're not supposed to put them out until release day but we're not supposed to get them delivered until release day either, so they just get thrown out on the shelves as soon as they arrive.

Anyone know what's on the cover of this issue?

Indeed. I enjoyed the arcade mode of Timesplitters 2, but I scarcely gave a **** about the story mode. Have things picked up (for the story mode) since last time?

There's a boxout commenting on the differences, so it would appear they considered both.

Time Extend is Yoshi's Island, Making of is Tempest 2000.

The main thing for me, though, is the fecking gorgeous cover and 6-page article on Wipeout Pure. Zone mode makes it look like Vanessa Z. Schneider has signed on as an AG pilot...

A little overgenerous with DS games again, I wonder if they've bothered to play it this time?

Are you referring to Touch Yoshi? Because that highly deserves an 8, possibly a 9, but I can accept an 8. Certainly didn't notice any other DS games in that list.
