I got mine from WH Smiths today. The price has gone up to ?4.25 but they haven't updated their system to reflect the new price yet and I get staff discount there so I only payed ?3.50

My friend is a subscriber and was pissed off when I told him because he hasn't got it yet, but I'd assume that with all the Xbox 360 info (some of which wasn't made public until last night) they had an embargo on when they could ship the issue out. This issue is worth waiting for, though.

Jade Empire - 7/10? Really? What a joke. The game is fantastic, best RPG on the system and one of the best this gen.

Spikeout - 4/10?!! I've been totally hooked to this game. It's real old school stuff, and I love it. Maybe not for all tastes but 4/10?


Not that I really care, it just seems lame that Edge are there once more trying to grab attention again by putting stupid scores on reviews. It looked like they were actually getting better of late too.

Forza - 8/10 - Glad to see this got the mark it deserves..maybe even worth a 9. Great game only letdown by substandard graphics imo.

4/10 is ridiculous for Spikeout. It's an excellent game, highly entertaining. Depth is irrelevant, some of the greatest games of all time have been 'simple' arcade games. Not every game needs an 80 hour story. Spikeout's spiritual predecessor - Streets of Rage, is a perfect example. An outstanding game to this day but you would likely disregard it as a button masher.

Frankly I expected better than Edge. They try to position themselves as being more hardcore/enthusiast based than the likes of OPM etc, and yet slag off hardcore/enthusiast games. It's a fighting game from SEGA FFS!

Spikeout Battle is not an excellent game ... its piss poor and Edge have overscored it with a 4

Did anyone read the review on channel 4 teletext, they gave it 2/10.
